We have the greatest recruiting coach. We have a very marginal in game coach. We have a coach who just landed another number one recruiting class for next year. We have a coach unlikely to achieve a championship with young players as history has shown.

You may debate the "marginal" statement and point out to Final Fours in the past and a National Championship. Yes, we need Anthony Davis, KAT, Booker, Patterson, etc. There is no doubt we have had great players then and now.

We currently have the national player of the year, a shooter in Frederick who shot high percentage when at another school (similar to Grady I might add and then mysteriously is different at Kentucky), top 20 Freshman, a first team point guard, a NBA future prospect in Ugo (1 minute), and quite frankly top to bottom a much better roster than Gonzaga who kicked our ass. Our offense is the same as ever, one dimensional for the most part, and unless the team has a fast break typically poor in half-court sets other than get it to Oscar.

It seems pretty glaring that we have a dilemma. If Cal goes there goes the top class. But, if Cal continues to insist on being the head game coach and not change (playing Ware in the first half), not putting our best offensive players out there together, it will likely be a very disappointing year once again. It all ready is. Two weeks ago there were all the number 9 posts. Don't see them now.....

I want the recruiting class, and then Cal can go. Send him out coaching the son of the point guard who gave him access to all the future point guards.

We ain't winning a title though, not with Calipari as coach.

I don't call it a dilemma; I call it a nightmare. I find no pleasure in watching 5 star players stumble around the court clueless. So for me, I would rather have a decent coach who can coach good players into a great team than a poor coach who turns great players into an extremely poor team. Otherwise, all we have to talk about from season to season are great recruiting classes and NBA selections.

WE may as well forget #9 this year because it will not happen with Cal coaching.

Show cal the door and risk losing this class. Maybe the new hire can keep a couple. Maybe not. Cal will not win with the class if he stays so it is not as big a loss as it seems. Rip the band aid and let the program move forward. The future is now.

So, we have to wait until 2029, unless somebody comes after Cal and Mitch gives him another 5-year extension.

In 2019, I was hoping he would leave.
