First of all let me state that I love coach Stoops... coach Dawson . and coach Elliott!!! I'm wondering though if it's just me or does this coaching staff seem a little scared??? We are up 14 to 10 with one yard to go and we punt? Now traditionally this is a good football move but for Kentucky and a fan base that is hungry we need some aggressiveness. My question is do you think coach Stoops is being conservative with his play calling because he doesn't trust Patrick or he doesn't trust the play calling or he's still trying to figure out becoming a head coach?

Situational football.
Defense had been playing outstanding, field position was not favorable. There are times to be aggressive, but not just for the sake of it.

It was the right call and the smart call. The guy has faith in his defense and so did I. Our fanbase has a lot to learn.

They were at their own 30-40 yard line. If they didn't make that it probably would have cost them the game. You do that stuff when you're on their end of the field.

Absolutely stupid to go for it in that situation. Too much risk. We had a 4 point lead meaning that had to get a Td to lead. Defense playing great.

We were on our own 37 yard line with a 4 point lead and 10 minutes to go in the game.... punt, punt, and punt it again.

Mark Stoops is a defensive coach who plays sound fundamental football. he's not going to go for it on 4th and 1 on his own side of the field in a game like this, nor should he.
