"The Blueprint for Killeya-Jones' Success"

Noticed there were no quotes in that article, other than SKJ's twitter from a few months ago.

Not a lot of chatter about the big guy.

Noticed that as well,is it just that I've missed it or is there less info/chatter about most everyone this year than in years past? I know it is early but everyone has been here for quite some time but there seems to be limited info about everyone.

One would think Jones will get a great chance to prove himself this time around, hope he makes the most of it

Maybe. I've been pretty busy, so I haven't been seeking it out. There was lot of focus on the U19 for a while.

I'd hope for a renewed commitment to learning from Coach Cal as he does seem to be able to get players ready for the tournament(s). An early focus on what Cal tell's them is important. who know's and especially not me but I'd like to see some early-on lock down defense. Seeing that early versus mid-way through the season may allow the team to adjust to the physicality needed to play defense and also be able to take the late shots with their legs still under them versus them being to worn out from playing defense.
The last couple years in January I have noticed the Cat's don't seem to shoot too well. My uneducated observation(s) seem to be due to their upping the pressure on the defensive end and not being in good enough shape to do it on the offensive end too. Maybe doing that a bit earlier on the season will quell the 100 point games but cause the defensive numbers to show-up. Who knows...jmuo

Good find in a slow offseason. I find it interesting that SKJ and WCS share a DBPM, a wingspan, and a vertical. SKJ definitely much more offensively talented if he can get it going. Here's hoping the tendonitis issues were either a smokescreen or all in the past.

I guess we shouldn't sleep on him either. Good thing he's a shooter l, you can never have too many.

Isnt he playing in england now or very soon?

Training camp should be going on right now. Games don't start until the end of the month. Not sure how that would work out for him if selected (missing school and work with our team).

Why is he playing in England ? Have not heard much on this.

His mom is British, maybe? He was named to their 24 man squad for Fiba Eurobasket. Training camp started in Manchester on July 31st, where they should whittle the team to 12.

Not a lot of basketball news to be found out of Manchester, but if you find anything, please share.
