The best defensive guard in uk history was.

Rajon Rondo

Look at his stats for playing 2 years at UK...He may not be the top but he probably would've been.

That I've seen play
1. Rondo
2. Wayne T
3. Cliff Hawkins
Dell and Epps were no slouches either.

I only remember back about 25 years. But Cliff Hawkins was really good. My top three would be him, Rondo, and Wall.

Rondo was a steals man. Gambled constantly, and gave up tons of dribble penetration. Same goes for Wall. The guard for West Virginia, Mazzulla, done whatever he wanted. I'd take Hawkins over both on defense.

Rondo could pick your pocket, then put the pennies and nickels back in it before going down court to dunk the ball!! Hawkins was good to when Tubby could find his inhaler!

Larry Johnson
Glad to see his name here, when I read the title that was one of the first names that came to mind.He was a good one, if not for a really bad call on Johnson late in the game IU doesn't have that undefeated season they like to talk about so much.

Idk how good he will be next year for sure, but if de'aaron Fox plays defense at Kentucky like he does in high school he will go down as one of the best defenders ever at UK, kid is a monster on the ball!!

Larry Johnson IMHO was the best defensive guard I've ever seen at UK, wouldn't know about many of the guys from the early days, but Johnson was very good, closest to him would be Turner or Liggins
