Couldn't ask for a better turn around! Poy picks it up, big time, 25 points. Briscoe starts hitting shots. Ulis was Churchill as usual. Murray is that dude, still hitting big shots. Lee almost gets a double double.

This is a huge game going forward. Great confidence booster against a 9-4 team, on the ROAD! There's no reason we can't March towards a final 4.

I really think this could be the most important game going forward.

Alex with the postgame! Love it.

Laura Rutledge mmmmm.

It's a confidence builder. Wins on the road are never easy to come by.

We showed poised when they cut it down to 4, but dug in deep and went back on to control the game.

I think Avery Johnson will get Bama to be competitive, and win some games they shouldn't. They are a scrappy bunch.

Any conference road win is big. Win all home games and go 500 on the road and you win the conference.

Good Win for us on the road. Cal might be getting through to some of these guys or they're maturing or both.
Oscar C said we would lose this game.

What I liked best was how physical this game was and we never backed down. Most physical game I remember seeing be played this season. Big step forward for us in that regard

I agree it was a great turnaround. This team will go as Poythress and Lee goes and with them playing like they did today this team can compete with about any team in college basketball.

I am not sure that will win the conference. A&M looks very good and I am sure they have an easier overall schedule (not having to play at Rupp exhibit A).

Plus, we play 9 road games...so cannot go .500, but if we go 5-4 and 14-4 overall...we might win it, but idk. A&M needs to lose some for me to feel better about this chance.

Like Alex said, "enjoy this one about 10 minutes and move on to the next one" Good win for the Cats, now take care of Miss St and Mr. Newman while the rest of the SEC is cutting up each other

This road rout v a descent Bama team may be looked back on as the gm where UK turned the corner.

I was wondering what Cal would do after the atrocious LSU game. I really did not think Alex could play with that much intensity for a whole game. Congrats to Cal and the team, especially Poy and Lee, nice to see Briscoe get some points also

Very good game for the CATS on the road. I thought we were very efficient for most of the game. We looked patient on offense and kept it pretty simple. The reason for this is we had 11 turnovers but only 1 each for Ulis, Murray, and Briscoe. That may be a season low for that trio. Murray and Briscoe didn't force anything. They just exploited what the defense was giving them.

Defensively, we had a lot more pressure on the perimeter and we weren't trying to block everything inside which allowed us to dominate the boards. They only had like 7 offensive rebounds all game. Great energy and effort though on both ends of the floor. Now the key is to sustain it.

Proud of our Cats! This was a big win and important for our confidence. Briscoe had two huge shots when the game was in doubt. Also, we need that Poy to show up every game, lol.

Good to see heart, hustle, effort and some attitude. Got to play that way every game, or it will be a short season.

Just good all around effort. Still a young team.. And to see them puu together on the road after a letdown is awesome!

I'll be honest.. This will be a top30 win for me under Cal. It was just great to watch.

Love that our guards held accountability over the week.

First game this season where Alex has been used that much in the offense. Hopefully the guards will keep him and Lee involved. Lee has GOT to hit some free throws or will be worthless at the end of a close game.

Him and Briscoe both, I wonder what Cal would do inside the last 3 minutes of a close game if we were trying to hold a lead and he knew the other team was going to foul.

Not much to do but take them out, at that point in a close game they become part of the opponents offense.

You bench them. If UK is clinging to a lead in the NCAA Tourney you have to have Ulis, Murray, and probably Willis out there...I guess throw Poy and Skal out there in the front court as well. I let one of the 3 front court guys in bound so we can double our chances of getting it to Ulis or Murray. I'll cringe if I see Ulis in bounding the ball in the NCAA with us clinging to a lead late.

Maybe Mulder in place of Willis depending on the match-up, my gut tells me he would pull Lee but leave Briscoe out there but I would hope not.
