Terrible UF play call......

Going for it on your 40 4th and 3
7pt game with almost 9 minutes.

UK missed the FG.

But that was a game losing decision.

I don't get it. WHY would you do that?
Had no belief in his squad to prevent a score and prevent a bigger hole.

Their O looked about as bad as any I’ve seen in the SEC in the 2nd half. Their QB was throwing balls over their heads or at their feet.

Measured call based on what he was seeing, don’t have a huge problem with it TBH but yeah in normal circumstances that’s an ez punt.

Imo this is the answer. He knew they were out of gas and out of answers. They really didn't have any other choice.

I think Napier thought the defense could hold Kentucky and from past KY vs Florida games we would self-destruct. We almost did but this Kentucky team overcame the bad luck and no calls to beat the odds.

Going for it from the 25 with 4 minutes left and 3 Timeouts was even worse.

Has anyone seen if anyone in the media asked him why he did that twice????
This. The first one was kinda understandable. Three yards. And he was trying to get something rolling. The second one though. Yeah……

Arrogance. Napier believed Finebaum and all the talking heads who claimed he was the second coming of Saban, and AR was the best QB in the SEC.

Go for it!! It's only Kentucky. They can't stop you!!

Napier does not look like a high intensity type coach. Smiles a lot, even after something bad happens. Seems to be a lot different than Stoops, not sticking with sound football decisions.

Napier made some head scratchers late in the 4th including going for on it the 40. I didn’t understand him not calling timeouts on Kentucky’s last possession at all. And then when Florida got the ball back, there was no urgency. Sure the game is technically over but you never quit and Florida just flat quit after UK got up 10.

even going for 2 so early in the game was questionable
I'm never a fan of that decision before the 4th quarter. It's just risking pissing away an automatic point. Then later on you're down 4 instead of 3 and you're kicking yourself for not just being a field goal away from tying.

1. I could live with the first one....but the 2nd one was sort of nuts to be honest and Hal Mumme-ish.
2. But even at that...the play selection on 2nd one was not great play call...AR15 throwing on the run to the sideline? Dude was so inaccurate and to have your short yardage call a roll out with a quick hit...that he promptly threw into dirt well behind the slot WR....was terrible coaching to be honest.

It's only fair to give Napier time to work with this year's talnet at Florida. But all teams are going to do is sit on QB run, keep him in pocket and watch it self destruct. On defense....we'll see how it holds up. But if UK had a mediorce OLine....we'd run them off field by many scores. We were killing them with TE underneath and if we had time...we'd pick them apart with Brown, Key and Tayvion. Like I said after the game....I see maybe 3 SEC wins for Florida (Vandy, Mizz and one of USC/LSU)....but they ain't beating UT, UGA, Texas AM and sweeping LSU/USC...so Napier needs to show his ability to coach and develop. I was not impressed much yesterday with him.

Hate to say it but Air Soft 57 looked like some of the QBs we've suffered through.

Billy Napier is Hal Mumme 2.0.

FL burns through head football coaches like popeye goes through spinach.
Why? I mean they should be the best. It should be Florida schools, Texas and Southern Cal every year. Don't understand how they all are down way down. I mean they should win by accident every year.

And that thinking is the problem. They think they can walk out there and win because of the name on their jersey and their star rating. Same thing that happened to FSU

I said it during and right after the game, but I am still baffled Napier and his OC didnt incorporate AR into the running game but instead continued to drop him back like he was Aaron Rogers or Tom Brady

He seems way more difficult to defend on the run as he is a great athlete.

Napier knew his defense was gassed and worried about punting to UK for a long six minute possession and ate clock and also resulting in 3-7 points.

Some of Richardson's passes were absolutely terrible. Some were good. I think UK is that good. They may beat some if those teams. They beat Utah which is no pushover. Matter fact I wasn't so sure after the 1st quarter they looked kinda good. They shot themselves in the foot, and Kentucky made them pay. They were in position to not lose by ten. You punt, play defense get the ball back and score tie ball game. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. If he can remember that in critical situations I think he will be fine. Go cats

What I'm saying has nothing to do with the name on The Jersey but everything to do with the recruiting ground in which they live no problem in that thinking it's just reality dude wondering why they can't keep their own Talent
