As a fan of the Titans, I believe their season is a wash. If I was gm I would trade Henry to a contender and try and get some decent draft picks. I would shut down Tannehill and let Levis get some reps. I believe he is the future and not Willis. Anything else you all would like to add?

Henry doesn't have great trade value. He's almost 30 and running backs aren't gonna fetch good picks. He is also n last year of contract so I think most teams would just wait until off season.

Levis is gonna look like dog crap with this offensive line so if you want him to get couch slapped then yeah let's put him in.

You’d maybe get a 5th for him and/or Hopkins. Henry is old and doesn’t catch passes, Hopkins is old and doesn’t catch passes lol. Could be some value on defense as it’s a little easier to plug a guy in.

Getting some reps and starting every snap is a wide gap. It's obvious Willis is qb2. I think Levis should get some snaps though.

No, it's not obvious Willis is qb2. The squirrel has no business being on an NFL roster. If Tanney can't go against the Falcon's, I'd expect Levis to get the nod.

Willis played last week when Levis was available. Seems he's definitely #3

He was not really available though. The only way Levis gets in that game would be if qb2 got injured. It's the rule on qb3. It is true that Willis is currently 2nd string but he played really awful as he always does and Vrabel has been really vague about the issue going forward. He said one of those 2 will play if Tanney can't go. It is very possible that the squirrel will start but if he does, I expect the leash to be very short. It was comically bad Sunday against the Ravens. It got so bad that Vrabel kicked a field goal on 3rd down.

Oh brother...not the stupid split snaps scenario.

Just play Willis or Levis....and see what they can do. A QB needs a game to get in sync....sitting every few series is just silly idea.

The Titans traded away their best DB Monday...so they've given up on playoffs essentially. So play Willis 3 games and let Levis have 3 games to see who is QB1 next year. Spllitting up a game is dumb idea.

I'm a Titan fan as well.

1. I don't think the season is a wash.....yet. The AFC South is still up in the air and we've only played 1 division game. 3 of our 4 losses are one possession losses. If they get moving, they can still have a decent season......but they have to move now.

2. Henry doesn't carry a lot of draft/trade capital.....and I think that he should stay.

3. QB - People start QB's waaaaaaaaaaaay too early in the NFL. There shouldn't be a rush, but there is one. If Tanny can play and the season isn't done yet, then roll with Tanny. By all accounts from pre-season, etc, Willis has established himself as #2. He should get the first look. We all knew that Levis needs time to develop, but if the season does end up a wash then you want to see what he has to offer.

4. Vrabel - Far too often coaches get fired too quickly. Vrabel has proven time and time again that if you get him players, he'll win the division.....and all of this has been without a franchise QB, etc. I pray that he doesn't get let go if there's a rebuild.

5. Rebuild - I often hear people say, "They should tear everything down to the studs and start over" when referencing a rebuild. That is often true if the program is dragging bottom for years in a row, but the Titans haven't. From 2018-2022 the Titans had winning seasons and either won the division or were close to it. In fact, if the Titans had a franchise QB there wouldn't be any talk of a rebuild at all. The Titans are a decent team with decent pieces.....but they lack some key ones.

There is also the mentality that you should tank for better draft picks which will help your rebuild. This is false. If this were true you wouldn't see the same old teams picking in the top 10 year in/out. You can still continue to strive for winning while going through a rebuild process.

Don't understand playing Willis at all. You already know what he can do, and it isn't good at all.

Levis probably isn't ready but he will definitely give the fans some excitement. Dude can fire up a fanbase like few can.

Vrabel is an excellent coach. He will probably need to completely change offenses to keep/solidify his job. Jmo

But are you not a rebuild mode by trading Byars for essentially low picks and a lesser Eagles safety Monday? Whether we agree they have a shot at a bad AFC south or not....when you trade a top line starter....the Titans have thrown in the towel on the season.

Jaguars have looked anything but bad IMO. A solid 5 and 2.

Titans are toast and suck.

Don’t think the Titans are going for the division anymore which is the smart move. If they could get a fourth for Henry they should do it, but I kind of doubt they can. Willis is a joke and if he’s starting against ATL on Sunday it’s either a bad sign for Levis or Vrabel is being an idiot.

I'd start Willis the rest of the season so we can lose out and get a top pick. This season is over.

Levis will play and get hurt again and then Willis starts and loses out.

I wasn't aware of the Byard trade at the time of my post. However, I never really said that the Titans weren't in a rebuild. What I was getting at is that people tend to say rebuild like we should replace 90% of the roster over the next few yrs (that's a hyperbole). The Titans don't have to do that....... If Carthon is decent, we can stay in the fight for the division while he makes some changes here and there.

The Titans defense has been top 10-15 many years in a row recently.....just a few pieces and a better offense would approach top 5-7. P/K are good. The RB's over the next few yrs will still be solid. They really just need 1-2 linemen, 1-2 WR's, and especially a QB. I wouldn't consider that a full rebuild.....teams make regular changes like this on a yearly basis.

I agree....rebuild from scratch is a subjective thing. But if Titans move Henry and potentially Hopkins...that is about as full rebuild as you can get. The main piece I hope they do not move is Simmons. Hes' not that old. If they move him, TItans are not trying to win for a while.

They shouldn't have to (but of course that does not mean that they won't). Henry and Hopkins are older. They don't command high draft capital and their age will force them off the team sooner rather than later. The only question is if they can afford to keep them for a few more years while they add pieces. I'm sure the Byard trade helped out their finances.

I think a new way of competing for a super bowl is to build a crazy roster around QB on his rookie salary. As when teams sign their QB to a big contract....that $40-50M per year kills your cap which forces you to give up some Oline, some defensive players, etc...

There is a world that Titans will cut Tanneyhill next year (I think his cap hit is $36M) and build up the Oline, keep Henry and Hopkins, and bolster their defense and have a 3 year window to get to playoffs with Levis on a cheap contract.

I don't think they'll go that route....but it's a novel approach

I like it. Certainly sounds better than drafting guys like Couch.....but don't protect him nor give him weapons.....and hope for the best.

I have never understood why the NFL uses the model that they do. In college, you recruit a QB darn near every year because you know you're gonna lose someone to graduation/transfer/etc. It would make sense for an NFL team to use a later round draft pick every year or every other year on a QB due to the importance of the position.
