Tennessee missed 2 shots the last 25 minutes that weren't called fouls, if they could be. Basically what I'm saying is that of the shots that weren't uncontested jumpers, only 2 of them we weren't called for a shooting foul on.

Are we really that bad defensively? Makes you wonder. We were even called for fouls on plays like the one where briscoe intentionally tries to get out of the way on a layup attempt and the guy's arm comes down and hits him.

Exactly...you cant win a game when the team you play scores or converts at line every time down...no stops..you can't win

Make no mistake....they hate us because they aint us.
They know the damn calvary is on its way and next season we are going to go on another long winning streak while tea bagging the competition.
They are getting in their licks while they can.
Big boys arrive next season.

Teams know we have issues. And they are taking it to us and forcing the issue now.

Overall I don't think we are "bad" on defense. I think we are bad in one particular area. Teams don't shoot well against us. Our opponents effective FG% is 45.2%. That's 23rd.

Bad defenses don't do that well.

We just stink at fouling. 262nd now and rising :(

I just don't understand. Are we really that poorly conditioned? Like tonight. We don't commit a single shooting foul the first 15 minutes. What caused it to melt down to the point where we allegedly committed one on virtually every single non wide open jump shot the whole final 25 minutes?

I think it's just like everything else. Some teams are good at certain things and poor at other things.

The two biggest culprits are Skal and Lee. And I could be wrong but I feel it has something to do with these guys not playing a ton of basketball. Lee was a volleyball player turned basketball player. Skal missed time and is behind the curve.

I agree the foul on Briscoe where the UT guy landed on Murray (who was turned around to rebound the ball) was by far the worst call. But what made it even worse was the fact it was called a shooting foul. The ball had already come off the rim when the light contact was made. At worst, if your going to call that foul, it should have been a dead ball foul with UT taking the all out of bounds cause they were not in the bonus then. The called foul had nothing to do with the shot.

Did you guys see the away from the ball play where the TN player tackled Hawkins and was laying on top of him? No call. But Ullis called for posting up. Awful.
