Only note of interest is Horsey is back at LG and Jager at RG......I'd have imagined Ray was the better guard vs. Burton in the games they both played.

Left Tackle

  1. Marques Cox (6-5, 311, Super Senior)
  2. Dylan Ray (6-6, 305, Sophomore)
Left Guard

  1. Kenneth Horsey (6-3, 311, Super Senior)
  2. Paul Rodriguez (6-5, 324, Sophomore)
Center

  1. Eli Cox (6-4, 311, Redshirt Senior)
  2. Tanner Bowles (6-5, 306, Redshirt Senior)
Right Guard

  1. Jager Burton (6-4, 307, Redshirt Sophomore)
  2. Tanner Bowles (6-5, 306, Redshirt Senior)
Right Tackle

  1. Jeremy Flax (6-6, 325, Senior)
  2. OR Courtland Ford (6-6, 305, Redshirt Junior)

Hopefully the refs aren’t on the UT depth!!
Oh, that's what all the moaning from Josh Heupel, Vol fans, and media concerning the officiating in the Bama game is all about.

Laying the groundwork to get a favorable whistle payback in the KY game.

Why else would they be crying about a game that is over. They preparing to win the KY game with all this crying about the officials.

The SEC office will accommodate them Saturday night.....

The non-call face mask on our final drive in ‘21 cost us the game, happened right in front of an official and you could see it from the upper deck. They slapped an unsportsmanlike on Stoops after that play and it was game over. Probably the most pissed I’ve ever been after a game.

Same here. So obvious, Ray Charles could have seen that one.

If we get that redheaded ref Saturday night, you will know the fix is in......

He hates CMS and CMS hates him.....for good reason.

Ray is the noticably better player but as noted numerous times there was little chance Jager wouldn't start once he came back.

Fwiw I think Jager was suspended last game as he should've been.

While I agree it was just an atrocious non-call, the fact is Levis threw a dart for a first down. We then did nothing with UT's blitz 4 straight plays and that was the ball game. Yes, a facemask call would have been huge at that point and possibly put us in FG position to tie (I don't remember the exact ball position). But, even after Stoops rightly lost his mind, we did pick up the first down and then did absolutely nothing for 4 plays and couldn't get into FG range after the unbelievable throw/catch at 3rd and a mile.

Iirc with that facemask we would've probably been in fg range. At least closer to it and had more time on the clock

I don't but much credence in the published depth chart. In the past the have put guy on there that are injured.
I have both Geiger and Wallace as questionable this week.

That is our best lineup, IMO. Now, whether that lineup constitutes a good OL is yet to be determined. Leary was under a lot of pressure vs. Georgia and Missouri, so still not convinced we have a good pass protect line. OTOH, Davis is one of the better RBs in the SEC, and he is not getting all those yards and TDs on his own, so have not given up hope yet.

1. Horsey has been a really good guard in 2021 and solid in 2020. 2022 he had to play tackle (and he was poor)..so I am not holding 20i22 against him.
2. But Burton over Ray at RG....I am not sure about. Ray isn't as strong but he has good feet, he doesn't get penalties and we ran the ball as good with him at RG vs. Florida, Mizzou and to some degree UGA with him in there.

I just scratch my head as to Jager walking back into starting spot. At minimum, I'd like to see us rotate in Burton/Ray as well as Flax/Ford to start to build a gameplan to wear teams down with our Oline depth. This just feels like we're going with those five Oline and that is our gameplan .

Big part of that is on coen. He doesn't stick with the run and he loves super deep pa pass drops or nakeds. Both of which require the front 7 to be completely sold on the run. Anything less and there is trouble.

Jmo but I think opponents are just playing pass first most of the time. I think they know we don't stick with the run enough to really focus on defending it. If they give up 75 yards in the first quarter, they know we'll try to get wrs touches so they just stay patient.
