Tennessee at Kentucky (Friday)

Everything is clicking so far, just had our 1st scoreless inning. UK leads 10-1 going to the 6th.
Bama leads Florida 1-0 in the 6th, Vandy 3 Arky 1 in the 5th, Mizzou 2 USC 0 in the 4th. Miss. State beat UGA 9-3 earlier today.
UK took out Pompey and brought in Wilson. Hopefully Wilson gets some good looks and gains some confidence heading into the post season. We could use a few more pinch hitters.
Looks like the SEC web site must have gotten hacked. At least their baseball records are pretty wonky.

Winning this first one sure helps! Takes some pressure off and gets our momentum going. Thinking sweep.
Little aggravating to give up 4 in the 9th, but still a big 15-5 win to get to 34-16 overall, and 16-9 in the SEC.
Great dominant win tonight. Sucks that the seldom-used relief pitchers didn't perform, but otherwise a perfect night for UK.
Really wish some of the backups both hitting and pitching could have gained some confidence, but it appears that none of them were able to rise to the challenge. Wilson, Collette, and McNeill all failed to get hits and Keen and Smith struggled. Still, doesn't put a damper on an amazing Friday. This is the 5th Friday that we've scored 10+ runs.... and I think 3 or 4 of those were against SEC teams. Amazing.
We made it down tonight and it was a great trip...The bats were on fire and the pitching was excellent till went to the BP and then I don't think he was happy at all in giving some of the kids some pt. Beautiful forecast for tomorrow so hopefully it will be a full house as they will be saying goodbye to the seniors I think. Four of my group will be in the house, but unfortunately I won't be able to be one of them....#GOCATS
Not me!!! I'm just saying that NM was not at all happy with the relief pitchers tonight. It was a great night at CHS. Sure wish I could be there tomorrow.
Kentucky didn't move in RPI. Interestingly enough, Tennessee jumped four spots after losing to us tonight.
I would agree that I don't like Louisville and typically I hope they lose everything, but if their winning in the regular season can help us get a national seed, which may very well help us to avoid having to play them on the road in a super regional, then I'll change my tune a little.

Yes we did, from 9th to 8th, just behind Clemson. Another loss to UofL today, coupled with a Cat win, would move us past them I do believe.
It is pretty crazy to have Reks hitting third and hitting .356 and yet it seems as though he's a bit of a step down from Pompey and White. Just kind of shows how good Pompey and White are.
(This was intended for Saturday's game) They played well. 14 hits, the game never in doubt. A lot of innings for Machamer, 13 straight, perfect relief effort, using more offspeed than usual.
