Or just the opposite of what you said. They might think that Georgia is going to win and this keeps Tennessee alive with a loss. They put UGA at 3 bc that’s the only way 2 SEC teams don’t get in (UT beating UGA). If Georgia was 2 then regardless of who wins the UGA/UT game…if the East representative won the SECCG then they both get in. If Bama wins the SECCG then the Wast and West Rep likely both get in w 1L.
I think UT would be out if Bama beats UGA in the SECCG, or even LSU beats them as Bama/LSU would be in as SEC champ and if a 2nd SEC team gets in it would be UGA at 12-1 over 11-1 UT, plus with the head to head win. If UT loses Saturday UGA needs to beat Bama for UT to get in.Lsu at 10 impressive considering their first game.
I think Georgia beats tn. Tn won't be out though.
Would suck but I agree with your thoughts on this.I think UT would be out if Bama beats UGA in the SECCG, or even LSU beats them as Bama/LSU would be in as SEC champ and if a 2nd SEC team gets in it would be UGA at 12-1 over 11-1 UT, plus with the head to head win. If GA beats puke orange and Ala beats GA inSEC championship then puke orange is out.Or just the opposite of what you said. They might think that Georgia is going to win and this keeps Tennessee alive with a loss.
The good news is that if UT loses Saturday I think UGA wins against either Bama or LSU, so UT could still get in. Somebody will lose the tOSU-UM game and UT will have a better resume than either. So say tOSU wins then they and UGA are in. The other undefeateds are Clemson and TCU and if they remain undefeated I don't know if UT could get in over either. Clemson has a crappy resume, but like Bama they likely have some CFP clout and it would really hard for the committee to put UT over them. And of course UT can't get blown out at UGA. Would need to be a relatively close loss not to damage the resume too much.Would suck but I agree with your thoughts on this.

All namesakeLsu at 10 impressive considering their first game.

LSU in the playoffs? Don't even acknowledge this as a possibilityI think UT would be out if Bama beats UGA in the SECCG, or even LSU beats them as Bama/LSU would be in as SEC champ and if a 2nd SEC team gets in it would be UGA at 12-1 over 11-1 UT, plus with the head to head win. Not unless the refs save them. Bama very well could've already had three losses.I still think Saban wins it again this season.
They’d need help. Georgia would have to beat Alabama in the SEC Championship, assuming that Alabama wins out in the regular season.Lsu at 10 impressive considering their first game.

All depends on how it’s viewed. They played what is the #1 team at their place and had 20 penalties and it still took them missing a field goal at the end for them to lose. Until saban shows otherwise I’m going to assume they don’t have 20 penalties in a game by years end.Not unless the refs save them. Bama very well could've already had three losses.
Clemson has 3 wins over teams in the CFP Top 25, Bama has zero wins over a CFP Top 25 team currently.Bama below Clemson and UM is a damn joke.
Also could/should be undefeated. Works both ways. Hoping GA wins Saturday and Ala. wins SEC championship. Keeps puke orange out of playoff. Not unless the refs save them. Bama very well could've already had three losses.
TN very well could have 3 losses too and it was TN that was saved by stripes, not Bama. Not unless the refs save them. Bama very well could've already had three losses.
He sure knows how to sneak back into contention.I still think Saban wins it again this season.
I am pretty sure the UGA staff will take full advantage of the crappy UT secondary unlike out staff did.Utee is not beating Jawja.
Easy now 🍺LSU in the playoffs? Don't even acknowledge this as a possibility
We may fall as soon as this weekend, maybe, maybe not, but I gotta tell ya, no matter what happens from this point forward, its been a fun ride. We have been down a long time and its nice to finally have a crew that can put point on the board and do it with hypersonic speed to boot!TN very well could have 3 losses too and it was TN that was saved by stripes, not Bama.
I'm actually glad TN's #1 because their fall, when it comes and it will, will be absolutely delicious. May not happen this week or even this year but it's coming.
If for some reason we don’t make the CFP, we would still play a top level team in the Orange or Sugar Bowl - not bad, given our expectations at the beginning of the year.We may fall as soon as this weekend, maybe, maybe not, but I gotta tell ya, no matter what happens from this point forward, it’s been a fun ride. The way UK played Sat makes it highly unlikely they win out, matter of fact they may not win another game if they repeat that performance. That would make 7 losses in the last 8 and woeful prospects for '23. UK is closer to Vandy than TN/GA.If for some reason we don’t make the CFP, we would still play a top level team in the Orange or Sugar Bowl - not bad, given our expectations at the beginning of the year.
I know it’s been a disappointing season for you guys, but if UK could win out I could see them playing in a Florida bowl - not a bad consolation.
