In conclusion, no he is not a literal tank.

Anyone know what blocking scheme AU used? If he's that size and quick enough for outside zone, he's a very scary man. If we've got someone who can beat him out, that certainly bodes well for rebuilding the BBW.

Very under valued pickup on the OLine. With all the OLine losses....if we can have Horsey-Cox-Manning up the middle of our OLine...should allow new coach to focus on getting tackle spots up and going.

I am literally an octogenarian, having breathed air in 10 decades, and have often misused metaphors and similes, while on occasion, allowing my participles to dangle.
But I had no trouble following the OP's meaning. Manning is built like a tank (simile), and I can envision him tanking along (metaphor) in front of a running back rolling over all opposition.

I would love to see a grammar board so some could play all day with their flock.

Don't forget about Grant Bingham, He's got size, speed and quickness. He was a very good tennis player in HS. At Johnson Central they run the ball 98% of the time, so he hasn't done a lot of pass blocking, but he's fast enough to block for the backs downfield. Hopefully, our new OL coach can get him up to speed on pass blocking.
