You'd think this was the basketball board.

Cats played their worst game of the year, plus missed multiple scoring opportunities, plus of course penalties and turnovers.
Almost beat a now top ten team at their house...and should have.
Almost like no one knew we had a whole new offensive line starting the season....and whether we love it or hate it, it takes time to get a line to act as a unit.
I've made plenty of fun of Stoops "gotta clean this up" remarks, but truth is yesterday was a good example.

Now the coaches job is to get these guys refocused and ready. Do that and it can still be a good season.

I think most are more concerned it's another 9 and 3 at best season upcoming with predictable losses to tn and uga incoming. As I said yesterday, the fact that a 2nd straight 9 and 3 win season could be ho hum and even a slight disappointment to some fans is a credit to Stoops program building the past decade.

Some of the posts are maddening. Apparently Stoops can't coach, Scang should be left in Mississippi and Levis just isn't good. Good lord. We played a ranked team on the road and lost by only 3. Levis really outplayed by the Ole Miss QB by a lot. 220 yards 2 TDs 0ints will win you most games. The reason the team lost was the mistakes not QB, coach or play calling. You can get the win back by just turning around the extra points and safety. Both of which should have never happened. That's not counting all the other mistakes which easily cost us 17 points.

People forget where we come from. We aren’t playoff contenders anymore and that upsets some people, I make fun of TN every year because they’re going to win the Natty, well some of our fans act like that. News flash just like TN we aren’t Bama. There’s no need to throw the season away after a top 14 road game in the SEC that you should’ve won anyways it’s not like we got massacred . I remember the 45-7 vs52-10, 63-3 games.
We are a much much more formidable opponent but not championship quality and that’s no slight just realistic expectations.
I won’t get mad over dropping a game that I picked to lose before the season ever kicked off.
9-3 is what I picked preseason, and I’d be happy with that. I’d look back and say damn we should’ve been 10-2 and playing in the sugar bowl but that’s football. You have to think from caller dweller to a 9+ win team while we are still growing I don’t get the sentiment that a lot of fans have. Yesterday sucked badly. Cost us big time but throw in the towel because we’ve lost one game? We aren’t Bama we wasn’t going to the Nc game this year we wasn’t beating all 3 of GA TN and OM to begin with the sky is not falling.

8-4 is a very real possibility. After getting Will and Chris back that would be disappointing. The last two games were not good.

Give me 9-3 plus a bowl win and I will be happy with another 10 win season. Would I like to win 11, 12, or 13 games? Of course. But sometimes expectations have to meet reality.
We have no one to give Crod a quality break. Levis still tries to do too much on his own. And the Oline is still trying to find itself. Ole Miss used tempo to impact our defensive substitutions and play-calling.
Ruffalo and Poore regressed to 2 years ago.
But a little cleaning up and we would have had a big conference win on the road.

Menu is set for next Saturday

Good post and realistic. Enjoy the ride, right? I don’t understand why some folks give up on the coaches and the team so quickly. I’ll take this team and coaches every day of the week and twice on Sunday… even after a heartbreaking loss.

I love what Stoops is doing but another step needs to be made regarding beating quality opponents.

Last year I'd say there were 3 teams UK faced with a strong pulse and they were all losses(excluding the bowl game)

This year there will likely be four. I'm just hoping this isn't an 8-4 season.

This, I’m just tired of collecting wins against the same BAD teams!

3 stinky OOC opponents
+ 1 bad Vandy team
+1 bad Louisville team
+1 bad Mizzou team
+1 bad South Carolina team

That’s 7 wins a year from teams that haven’t been good recently. UF is also in a slump and really bad this year (they are a couple plays away from being 0-4).

There’s a reason Stoops is 0-11 on the road against SEC West opponents. We’re just not at that level nor do I think we ever will. We have a first round draft pick QB, what should be the best RB we’ve ever had, and a great receiver/TE room. If not now, then when? I know our line is bad, but there are ways to scheme around that. Rollout QB, quick passes, etc.

My attitude is shitty now for couple of really obvious reasons:

- we should have won that game if not for Kentucky like mistakes
- if not this season, when?

we have the more talent on both sides of the ball than we likely will for a while. If we can’t get over the hump this season, it won’t happen for who knows how long. And I don’t think it’s happening. So, I’m just dejected.

UK football fans are “haters” because we are frustrated with GIVING AWAY a road victory that would have possibly propelled us into the top 5????!!!!!

We just want AND expect more than what we got out of the team and coaches yesterday. We feel the same as how our coaches AND players feel about yesterday’s game.

To each their own. After a crushing disappointing loss i clamp on a 24 hr rule, avoid UK talk of all kind. Some think it makes them feel better to instantly blast every coach, player, water girl before the clock hits 0.00.

As an old guy who sat miserably through too many games where UK didn't even belong on the same field against a top 15 SEC opponent, where none of our starters would even make the other teams 2-deep, I'm not gonna be anything but just disappointed.

We were the better team, but gave it away to them because they were less sloppy. It happens, its CFB, kids 18-22. If I asked any UK fan this offseason if they would take 4-1 start, including 1 win in either Gainesville or Oxford, 100% would say hell yeah.

Let's fix our incredibly fixable mistakes, get right against a dreadful USCjr, and play for still very achievable high goals in 2022.

Yeah our fanbase just isn’t ready to have a good football team. A lot of the bad posters have that basketball fan passion and emotion but they just don’t know anything about football. It’s embarrassing. So far we have seen people claim stoops can’t coach, Levis sucks, the OC is terrible, we need to see the back up qb (I know right?), and someone needs fired immediately.

I mean, these are stupid reactions. I’m guilty of trying to argue with some of these people. I guess I just need them to know that they are stupid. Maybe they don’t know. Lol

we will lose a lot of these ding dongs come big blue madness.
