Not much happened this week if I'm being honest. Also, I have a slight hangover and the desire to throw all my red possessions out the window. This'll be a short and sweet mashup.

> Austin Kendall to UK sounds like "I need to quit drinking and watching UK basketball."

> I like what I'm hearing about the OL. I like that we now have options to switch and mix and match. I think the OLine takes a step forward this year and with it, our offense.

> Stoops has said that Dawson runs the ball much more than Brown, and that power run game has set up enormous deep ball plays. I really wish we had a Spring Game. Can you imagine Badet streaking 5 yards behind the opponent's best corner after getting set up? Goodness, that would be lethal.

> I'm getting really antsy waiting for the stadium completion. The finished product should look wonderful with our new training facility in 2016.

> I feel like our offense will be much more potent next year. I feel like we have a net gain with the redshirts and depth even though we lost our anchor, Bud and Z. Our secondary should be full of playmakers and I think it'll be fun to watch them this coming year.

Question: With the uncertainty of our line this year, would you rather have pass-catching TE's like Conrad and Long or would you prefer to have a stud blocker? I think the line allows us to throw our guys down the center of the field is year, but I wanted to know what the board thought.

Have a very happy Easter. Hopefully you all survived the game last night and enjoy the holiday.

Go Big Blue!

> Austin Kendall to UK sounds like it's gaining even more steam. One would hope that he can commit soon so that our recruiting goes sky high and he can work as a catalyst to bring in other top notch talent. UK is also courting several other QB's, so Kendall needs to pop ASAP.

Are you sure about that? From what I've read it doesn't.

I'll reserve judgement on the young TEs until we see what they can do vs good SEC teams. Therefore, I'll take the blocker. He blocks every play, just a handful of balls will be thrown to the TEs.

The biggest thing for the O to get better is for the D to get better. UK's ineffectual D puts tremendous pressure on the O to try to keep up. Tough for an O knowing they'll likely have to score every time they take the field to keep the game within reach.

The interior of the line will be better this year so the QB should have more time.

You need one pass receiving threat out of the TE position to keep defenses honest. If you have a TE that can get open against a linebacker and some safeties than that spreads the opponents defense thinner and opens up other receivers. When the opponent knows your TEs are too slow to get separation or can't catch the ball consistently it make it much easier for them.

I think Conrad is a decent blocker don't know about Long. Both will get better with experience.

Unless something was posted last night, everything I remember reading has been positive for UK. Even if it isn't, there's a lot of time until signing day and I find it difficult to believe that UK lost all its MO with this recruit.

Edit: found what was said. Even if Kenall pops for the wrong Stoops, I still feel good about Marrow and Mark working some voodoo magic. We shall see.

Count me as one that is not that thrilled to hear that Dawson likes the "power running game". We are UK, we don't get the talent to bully people like the Bamas and LSUs of the world. I've always thought that the only way that we can win is through scheme and recruiting talent to match it (think Texas Tech under Leach, Ga. Tech under Johnson).

Dawson does not excite me, based on what I've heard so far.

I think you're reading too much into the wording. The way I see it is that we will be able to establish a running threat in each game we play so we can then pass the ball much more effectively. Power running has more to do with single-back and juggernaut line. We don't have that, yet, but we don't need to to have a ground game.

As you clarified it's looking unlikely for Kendall. When he didn't visit and instead went to the camp in Atlanta and then right after the camp he ends up going to Oklahoma with no future visits to UK planned...sigh...that was it IMO. UK will sign a good QB though and we are not out of it with Messiah deWeaver.
