> First off, Pats cheated.

> Congrats to Randall Cobb for being a great ambassador to the program. I have no doubt that he will get a ring soon. Randall, BBN holds you in the highest regard. Thank you.

> Bud opted out of the senior bowl. Fitting, since he'll likely go from guaranteed first rounder to guaranteed top 10 after the combine.

> Big Z again showed out and helped his draft stock. Go get em, Guys!

> Dawson is already getting into the recruiting grind and I like it. He's been in several recruit's photos and I think he will become an asset on the recruiting trail.

> Devon Provitt to UK sounds nice. What doesn't sound nice? Dinson decommitting.

> Have some sympathy, BBN. Our basketball team is making other SEC team's fans understand what it's like to get massacred.

> Nobody has a damn clue as to what awaits us on signing day. I love it.

> Double Yahtzee... Chris Westry (DB) and Kayaune Ross (Freaking tall WR). I expect him to play for UK eventually. Don't argue this here. Go to one of the other threads for that, please.

> I want us to land AD Miller.

> If Florida stays at their current level of recruiting then I fully expect us to stomp their throats and twist the sole (and I want us to regardless). Destroy them and send a message.

> Everyone is freaking out that UT is ahead of us and so good... I am glad we got Stoops and not Butch. It's not difficult to recruit to UT. It's 11 vs 11 the entire game. Stop Chicken Littling and have some confidence in your freaking team.

Sounds like unless the staff has some tricks up their sleeve, the strong finish to this class isn't going to happen. Not bashing just stating the facts. Sounds like we have more players decommiting/favoring other schools than commiting to UK.

You lost all credibility with the Pats cheated stuff. I love how people just follow the media's narrative like sheep and believe whatever those idiots tell us. Because Mortensen posted a report claiming the balls were underinflated by 2 PSI. Guess what. There's been another story stating that that one is factually inaccurate. Also, go test a ball yourself in the way Belichick described. And another thing. What do you know about "spygate"? You probably just know whatever the media told you, but not the full story. Nor do you know that Aaron Rodgers has claimed he likes his footballs over-inflated and tries to sneak them by. Keep up the uneducated opinions, though.

>First, if you knew anything about me then you'd know that I'm the last person to be considered a sheep. I have devoted my life to seeking knowledge and believe that no issue is simply black and white but is also filled with shades of gray.

>Second, if you always piss yourself at the first opportunity to stick out your chest and act holier-than-thou at a joke on a message board, then feel free to leave my thread. These threads have been doing well before you came around here with your input and will surely do much better after it's gone.

Have a wonderful day.

Ross is not a UK commit yet - there are still things to be worked out.
I know, but if everything goes to plan, he will be at the school he wants to be attending and UK will have a huge threat in the red zone.

How did I act holier-than-thou? Do you even know what that saying means? If you don't like someone criticizing something you've posted, then don't post it. Your threads are fine, but just because you offer light and entertaining threads doesn't mean everything you say is above reproach. I apologize for attacking you without any true cause, but your "joke" has been a huge pain to me all week. I would ask that you think of this in the same way most of us have re-opened our eyes for Calipari when he first got here. It is easy to just assume cheating, but when you're more involved you look into a situation even more before calling someone a cheater.

Correction, you are not stating the facts. Until February 4th comes, you don't have a clue what tricks Stoops and staff have up their sleeve. Plus if you were Stoops, right now, and you had commitments would you reveal them now? Or if you had certain flips from other schools would you reveal them? Lets wait for February 4th.

I have bolded the areas where your tone shows a certain condescension. You seem to have a God complex because you are, as you seem to think, an enlightened individual. I know exactly what I say when I say it. Just like a vegan spitting fire at omnivores or someone who hunts scoffs at PETA, you deliberately attempt to undermine my position- even in your retort.

For the record, I will post what I want and when I want so long as I abide by the forum rules. You on the other hand can decide to turn off the computer and/or go do something else.

To end, I want you to know that I love criticism. People never get better unless they're told what they are doing wrong or how they can improve. What you said was not criticism and was quite clearly a personal attack on my intelligence. I am sorry that you've been driven to this point by the media clamoring for any story it can get its hands on, but I will not apologize for trying to lighten up someone's day.

These are my final words on the subject. Sorry for the fireworks, BBN. Happy Sunday!

Don't take any ish off some obvious homer who dreams every night of sniffing Brady's jock. They cheated and you would have to be an idiot not to see it. I don't care who else has cheated. Those fools got caught....yet again. You stated the obvious and it struck a nerve of someone in denial who then tried to bully you. You post great stuff and most of us appreciate it.

I apologize for attacking your post. I don't agree with the assumption that the Patriots cheated, but I am sorry for my arrogant response. This entire news story might be the biggest bunch of crap I've ever seen and instead of being excited that my team is in the Super Bowl I have to deal with people all week telling me how big of cheaters they are when they don't know anything about the story. My reaction to your post was just a reaction to the entire situation. Once again, I am sorry for being a douche to you.

Kudos to the guy for apologizing. Not everyone is self-secure and thughtful enough to genuinely offer an apology, nor genuinely accept them.

All is forgiven. I'm usually pretty easy-going although nobody would be able to tell from this thread.

For some reason the reply struck a nerve- must've caught me on a bad night or something. Like I said, no harm no foul.

Feel free to come comment on future mashups. The more the merrier.

Then, shouldn't you be mad at your team and not media......or the people around you calling them cheaters? It was the Patriots organization that put you in this situation in the first place.

The truth behind the situation is that the balls were measured several hrs pre-game as per official custom. 11 of the 12 balls were found to have less air pressure.....and the balls were in the possession of the Patriots organization.

The truth has changed by the minute. Chris Mortensen tweeted a report that 11 of the 12 balls were 2 psi below the allowable number, and that has since changed to 1 PSI difference which is quite easily explained by weather or even Belichick's explanation. I'm not mad at my organization because I don't believe they did anything wrong. It's similar to accusing Calipari of cheating. He's being watched like crazy because of who he is and where he is. There's no way he'd be dumb enough to cheat. That same thing applies to the Patriots. Why would they care about the football having less PSI? Did you watch the sports science that refuted an under-inflated ball having any effect on the game? There are multiple other scientists that have conducted the football experiment and said it is very plausible.

The issue here is less about what the Patriots did and more about what the news media has told everyone. Their ability to create stories out of nothing is crazy. Aaron Rodgers has openly admitted he likes his footballs to be over-inflated and tries to sneak them by the refs. The Colts blast fake crowd noise through their speakers to make their stadium even louder. About half of the Seahawks team tested for some kind of drug. Ray Rice punched his wife and didn't get treated like Brady was treated at his press conference. I believe that when this is all over, the Patriots will be exonerated and it won't matter because the media has already made them out to be cheaters and liars despite not having evidence.

The score was 45-7, NE could have played with Frisbees, and it would not have mattered. Time to move on . . .

-Weather can't be blamed. If it were the weather, all 12 balls would've been found deflated......and all 12 of the Colts balls would've been found deflated......which none of the Colts were.

-Regardless of if there is an advantage or not.....it's really irrelevant. A rule is in place that states that the balls must be a certain PSI. The Patriots' balls were at first measure, but weren't after the game. The Colts were.

Bottomline, a rule was broken. It was not something the media made up. And there is no way to know who is responsible. Maybe Belichick knew about it......maybe not. Maybe Tom knew.....maybe not. (on a side note....as much of a difference as it feels, I'm sure that Tom knew......now, whether he was partially responsible is debatable) But since it is the Patriot organization's responsibility to monitor the state of the balls, it falls on them as an entity.

And about your last paragraph. Rodgers said that but he hasn't been caught doing it. Had he been caught doing it, he'd be the story of the day. A good portion of the league tests positive for drugs......it's a black-eye on the league and makes headlines regularly.....for all teams. Ray Rice's situation helped spawn an entire NFL campaign against domestic violence....commercials, appearances, rallys, etc. You believe that deflate-gate is a larger issue b/c it strikes a personal nerve....and that emotion makes it appear like the whole world is against you and your team.

I respect your opinions, but I can't agree with you at all. The 12th ball wasn't tested. It was given to a fan by Blount after he scored a touchdown. Belichick said that the equipment guys rub down the footballs and this increases the PSI in them by about 1 PSI. This means that when the ref checks them they may show 12.5, but they would gradually go down because the heat from the friction would no longer be a factor. It is possible that the Colts turned their footballs in at 13.5 and that's why they're balls weren't under-inflated.

There is no bottom line that a rule was broken. That is all just conjecture until the NFL actually comes out with a report. Why don't you try to see if you can feel the difference of 1 PSI in a football. I guarantee you can't tell. You have a lot of misinformation and this is the exact problem I've had with the entire process. Public opinion annoys me because public opinion is often uninformed.

Like I said before, Ray Rice knocked a woman out, had a press conference and didn't get near the grief in the press conference that Brady got. I don't think this should be a big deal, but it is because of idiotic media members and ESPN driving the story.

The game was cold. Rubbing a ball will raise PSI only a fraction.....and only the ball he is rubbing at the time. The rest are all sitting there. The ref checks them 2 hrs before the game....and then after the game. Rubbing would only make a difference during the game. The Colts' balls apparently measured the same before and after the game.

Now, about feeling a difference between the ball. Watch the video. 2 PSI loss is a 15% loss of pressure. It's a big difference when you squeeze the ball.

http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=12206777

Now, I don't think it was a big factor in the game. The Patriots spanked Indy. And to me the performance factor really doesn't interest me. A rule was broken here though. 24 balls (12 NE, 12 Indy) were measured prior to the game and were found to have the correct pressure. 11 of the balls were found to have less after the game......and they were all the Patriots'.

Ray Rice - The guy was fired. Has basically been black balled by a good portion of the teams in the league.....at least over the last yr. An entire mov't was started to stop domestive violence....largely b/c of what Rice did. He's going through a legal battle. And all this has been on going for months and months. But, please, tell me how 1-2 wks of talking about a minor infraction by the Patriots compares yet again......

Confirmed. Bill Nye the Science Guy said Bilicheat's explainatin was BS. Temperature changes cannot acount for that much change in ball pressure.

It's oblivious after this incident blew up, The Patriots have tried to let the air out of the story while the media continues to pump it up. But the pressure is still on Brady and Bilicheat to provide an explaination to deflate this story or else the Soup Bowl officials will be forced to get a better grip on the situation.

Yeah, I'm done discussing this with people who won't allow basic science in. When the Patriots are found not guilty of anything I will be back and I hope you all will be there. I apologize for monopolizing the thread.

As for the Bill Nye reference. Please tell me you're joking. Multiple real scientists have proven Belichick's theory to be correct. Just another thing ESPN parades and people buy into without doing any real work. And most of you are the same people that get so upset when Calipari is accused of cheating. Double standards are funny.

Once again, it doesn't matter if there is a performance gain or not from inflating/deflating. The rule exists that the balls must measure a certain PSI. The Colts balls measured ok. The Patriots didn't.

As far as me and Coach Cal. If he is found cheating then I will care. Accusations do absolutely nothing to raise my emotions.

Well, maybe I need to give UL more credit, they are the hardest trying team around, their latest is trying to add another domestic abuser to the roster. Probably still upset that they missed out on the first cousin child impregnator.

Yeah, saw that. Even Howie said they really want this guy and he admitted that this guy has TONS of baggage. He said he puts his trust in Bobby and Tom.
