Summer rerun-- Mt. Rushmore

I was listening to a DC sports radio today and they were dong the "four Redskins on Mt Rushmore" thing. I know this has been done on the board before, but it is July, and I couldn't think of a really, really good Duke thread to start.

Two rules: Players only. AND: You saw them play.

Mine: Dan Issel....Goose Givens....Jamal Mashburn...Anthony Davis.

What I find remarkable about that is that I have no one from the greatest UK team I've seen -- 1996 -- and can't fit on the list NBA all-star talents like John Wall or guys who were NCAA Championship Most Outstanding Players like Tony Delk. What a fantastic tradition Kentucky has.

The University Of Kentucky Basketball Program has certainly been blessed with many great players and coaches, and with a long tradition of winning and championships. Kentucky basketball embodies a standard of excellence that does make me very proud and thankful to be a member of the Big Blue Nation. With another great class coming in the excitement level is high as the Wildcats will soon begin their quest to bring home another championship. And with so many great players past and present, and on the horizon the need for an expanded Mt. Rushmore continues to grow.

Sorry but the "four redskins" are not on Mt. Rushmore. I'm sure I am not the first to correct you here but I need to increase my post count.
