Does anyone have any info on which UK players are playing in the summer leagues? I swear the UK baseball twitter account is useless after the seasons over.

Here is what I have found:

Javon Shelby and Logan Salow are both on the Hyannis Harbor Hawks in the Cape Cod League.

One question. Did Greg Fettes sign a pro contract? He was listed on a roster for the summer but as of yeaterday, his name is no longer there.

UK had 5 players make all-star teams this summer....Storm Wilson, Zach Logue, Justin Lewis, Riley Mahan, and Robert Zeigler. They played in the Perfect Game, and Northwoods all star games.

Good for them, especially the pitchers. We really need them to step up.

Took a peek at some of the summer league stats yesterday and some of our Cats are killing it. Storm Wilson was hitting .322 with 5 HR's and was like 21-23 in stolen bases. Zack Logue was 7-0 with a 1.44 era, Marshall Gei was hitting something like .365, Justin Lewis was 5-1 with a barely above 2.00 era, Zac Strecker was 5-2 with a mid-2.00 era. Riley Mahan was hittin around 295 with 18 stolen bases, even Robert Zeigler was around a 2.00 era, with 51 K's in 36 innings and 6 saves.
Some others were average or slightly above, with returners like Evan White, J Shelby, M Carson, D Hairston, and our entire weekend rotation back, and a little help from some newcomers, we could make a little hay in 2016.

For me, the jury is out on Storm. He may hit summer pitching but hitting SEC pitching is a different story. He reminds me of Hamilton of the Reds. A lot of speed, good defensively but not a good hitter or OBP guy. And as long as Henderson is the mgr, I have my doubts about this team and program.

I tend to think that if a person does well in summer leagues as a hitter it is a good sign. The Northwoods league is one of the better leagues, so the competition is pretty strong. Also, you're hitting with wooden bats. Now, I tend to write off summer league pitching a bit more because I think that the wooden bats hide more mistakes for pitchers. Something that will be a deep fly ball out with a wooden bat is a home run on a metal bat. Just tends to give the pitcher a bit more leeway on his accuracy.

So, that being said, I think it is a good sign that Wilson did so well in the summer. Still, it is a long way until February when it will really begin to matter. He has to be able to keep that same mentality and be able to continue to see the ball well.

I also agree that I don't have a whole lot of faith with Hendo as the manager. Don't really like the way he manages the bullpen and don't think he's done anything great to really improve our pitching overall since his arrival. So, to me, that is going to be the big question mark. Still, having our entire weekend rotation back is certainly going to be helpful.
