With the polls effecting who gets into what bowl games, especially the playoffs, should we continue to take a knee like we did yesterday, or should we say " Sorry, but we're trying to move up."

Taking the knee in last nights situation was definitely the right thing to do. Previous play had CROD scored while picking up the first is perfectly fine though, once you have the fresh set and can run out the clock it’s a total Dick move to try and pound it in.

Don’t disagree but don’t wholly agree. I think had you kept it on the ground and just ran straight ahead 1-2 more times it isn’t a huge deal. Just don’t call timeouts or throw it.

if we were at the 50 and ran it 2 more times to close the game out nobody would consider it classless. That shouldn’t change just bc you’re in scoring position.

It's 2022, not 1982.
There's apps, texts, twitter, and the Ocho.
All games are on tv, media rooms have 12tvs on at once, and everyone is getting updates in real time.
The days of tacking on points and voters seeing only the score in the newspaper are over.
And the voters that did get tricked are all retired and dead.
Scoring another touchdown would not add any more style points.

Are you listening Bobby Petrino and James Franklin? And there is always one of your players could get injured on a needless play.

While I agree that taking the knee was the right thing to do I think you are way underestimating how lazy journalists are.

Agree completely. If you have enough points to win and enough downs left that you can run out the clock by taking a knee even if the other team uses it’s remaining timeouts, you take a knee. It’s not just sportsmanship, but to protect your players by not making them play a meaningless down where injury is a possibility. Imagine if you hand it off to CRod and he gets injured trying to score a meaningless TD.
