Strange story about our 2018 stud 5* commit Jermaine Eskridge

Whoever sent those texts is a huge piece of s@$t! Why someone would want to do that to a 15 year old is way beyond my comprehension.
 
It's disgusting that a high school coach would do that to a kid, especially when the kid left the school out of necessity.
Eskridge left his previous high school to move to a place where his mother could be close to where she has her dialysis treatment, and this high school coach has the gull to say "is anybody loyal anymore" and start this kind of mess?
Coach should lose his job for good. Very clear that he should not be responsible for supervising young boys.
 
she's worried about her son's scholarship for college because of him not being allowed to play or whatever.
but i can't imagine Coach Stoops rescinding the offer because some jackass was being a jackass. hopefully, Coach Stoops hears about this ridiculousness soon so he can speak with her about that. if i know mothers like i think i do, this will weigh on her.

also, i'd love for somebody to punch that coach and whoever sent the text square in the face and post it to youtube.
i mean who does that to a 15 year old kid?

So the head coach runs a scouting service in Southern California. And these mystery texts allegedly came from a So Cal coach. Not hard to connect the dots. What a piece of sh$t. I guess if he can't have him no one can. Great example you are giving to young people.

Welcome to HS football in the dirty south...
Eskridge is visiting UF this weekend for the Ole Miss game. He has no worries of not getting a scholarship.
 
Guys, I think we should flex the muscles of the BBN and let that coach know he's messing with the wrong recruits. I don't know how exactly, but we shouldn't sleep until that coach is out of a job.
 
Kid must be a really good prospect if recruiters are starting this stuff this early.
 
"The coaches declined to tell the principle where the text came from." But he forwarded it anyway.

Didn't he put on Twitter not long ago that he's 100% commited to UK and for people not to worry about why he commited to us? Sounded like some folks were asking him why UK? This seemed to be his response.
 
Foolish take. In no way is the kid playing us. He had committable offers from all the college football superpowers. If anyone is playing anyone, it is UK getting the benefit of having this 5* committed and the publicity that gets us.
 
What would a kid that good gain from committing to UK as a sophomore? The answer is nothing. He's still going to go through recruiting and do his thing. It's still our job to keep him committed. Even if he does "play" us then he's still been a good ambassador for UK while being committed to us, so it's still a positive for us.

Yes he did....He is also helping Recruit others to Kentucky...

basically he transfered high schools but someone is making a stink that he doesnt actually live near his new HS so he is not getting to play games this season thus far

I can't remember if Eskridge did or not. But I recall Kayaune Ross put that out there.
 



Sounds pretty solid to me. There's a bunch of other pro UK football tweets by him as well.
 
He is down with this Staff and is a solid commit. Could he change his mind later in life...yes he could hell he's only 15.
 
Yeah he might change his mind, but how in the hell anyone can be dumb enough to say that him being committed to UK and praising UK on social media & being identified by recruiting services as a 5* committed to UK is in any way us being "played"

Hope some more 4 & 5* from '17 & '18 class decide they want to do the same and "play" UK!!! [eyeroll]

I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this plays out. I don't think it's dumb at all given the fact he sure is eager to hear from other programs. I guess if I prove to be right I can turn it around and say how could you be dumb enough not to see that we were being played.

Please tell me exactly how he is playing us? In what way is it a negative for us to have a 5 star WR committed to us as a sophomore? You think Stoops has turned off all WR recruiting for 2018 because this guy has committed? The only way he could possibly play us is if he stays committed until signing day 2018 and then signs somewhere else on that day. Other than that there is really no way he can play us. If anything, we benefit from this just as much as he does if not more.

And of course he is going to be eager to hear from other programs. It is going to boost his ego, make him feel better, make him a bigger household name (in recruiting circles) and he is going to relish in the experience. Most people would.
 
Sounds like grounds for a lawsuit on whoever kept him from playing this fall. This is a bunch of BS. Feel sorry for the kid. Cannot wait to see him in blue and white.

I'd appreciate it if you didn't quote things I didn't say. If you can't tell that he is playing us that is your problem not mine. I never said that we wouldn't recruit other wide receivers nor did I say that right now it's not beneficial for us.

On a separate note, you can't say you moved when you actually didn't just to play for another school. That is why he is ineligible this year. Same rules apply here in Kentucky.
