FB Recruiting Story: Bolden talks about Kentucky

Is it me or does he remind you of Dakari Johnson? I don't see elite athleticism but well coached. I do believe that we are in the drivers seat. No inside sources, just reading between the lines.

Wrong. This dude is pretty athletic for a big. Think Daniel Orton.

Lol I first read that and thought T.J. was comparing Bolden to a

because of his size.

I know these kids throw around these positive statements after every visit. But it'd be hard to describe one program as "the hardest working college team I've seen" then go somewhere else. It'd be like saying you didn't want to work that hard.

Yup I think he's ours to lose.

What's his game like? Anyone have any info on just how good this kid is? Would he be preferred over "Bam"?

But man, there are an awful lot of recruits that don't want to work hard. Obviously a compliment. But also hoping this environment appeals to him. Remember, Timo Cruz quit on Samuel L. Jackson TWICE..

Bolden - Humphries - SKJ - Gabriel - Willis

Fox - Monk - Matthews - Mulder - Hawkins

That's an elite group. Tons of athleticism. Good spacing on the perimeter. Individuals who can create and defend at every position.

Marvin Stonish? A little lead in the sneaks, but some talent inside the paint. But really, I don't know enough about his game to make a good comparison. Will rely on you guys.

Dave, you mentioned that there was some behind the scenes noise regarding the Bridges commitment. Can you elaborate?

Miles, in his heart and head, wanted to commit to UK weeks ago. He still has the same favorable outlook toward UK, but will stick with his decision for a variety of reasons.....closeness to family.....friends in the program.....loyalty to Izzo. Word rippling out of central Michigan that Miles has struggled internally after the decision, but is bound to keep it as it is.

He'll do well at State, it's a top flight program. BUT, Jalen Rose, who was recruited by MSU, tells it the way it is, and said waaaay too much in the link below. Like we didn't suspect it, even know it to be true, still, he puts it out there on the airwaves. He opened a different can of worms, imo.

You got a time-stamp for the comments? I tear up watching Jalen without BS and just can't bring myself to watch 70 minutes of it.

For Cal to put in the time and effort on this kid here lately, you have to Like our odds of landing him. It's a nice compliment from the kid saying Kentucky works the hardest. Let's hope future recruits pay attention to that part of his visit. I don't really have a favorite big out of any of the ones we are on, but if one is ready to give his commitment, I would be ready to accept and get our big men recruiting over with before spring. We can then put all our focus on Fox and Monk, if Fox decides to wait. Most think he will commit somewhere soon. Bolden has nice upside and with Cal coaching him, the sky is the limit.

Or do you just mean College Athletes and benefits in light of UofL? That's the first 15 minutes or so.

Found it: Start video from 11:30 and the next few minutes. Mentions all the schools that uh.. showed him some "nets".. if you catch my drift.

Wow, some crazy comments from Jalen. We're talking schools basically setting these recruits up with the most wild player or biggest man on campus, to essentially give these 18 year olds everything they could ever want.. Parties, cooz, alcohol

Then basically went on to say that the recruiting trip is a lot like a bachelor party. Ha. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but.. damn.

Giles is the best big man but looks like he is 80% or higher headed to Duke. I think Bam and Bolden are close in ability with Bolden being a little bigger in both length and stature but Bam being more athletic and stronger motor. I personally would prefer Bam but they are close. Cal make be getting the feel is headed to Duke and Bam is headed to NC State, so he is trying to lock up Bolden. Anyone of the three bigs would be great. I don't want to give the impression that Bolden is not athletic, Bam is just a freak. Bolden is much more athletic than someone like Dakari.

I would hope that Bolden is more athletic than Dakari...........Dakari was limited in all aspects, speed, quickness, jumping ability
