GD't, what a great call by Stoops. If you did not listen, you got to listen to the Podcast. If what he said does not get you excited about this team and season nothing will. Folks, we have a legit football coach in Lexington. Some wondered why Mitch gave him an extension. Soon, folks will be praying KY can keep him.
Check it out...what stands out to me is this sounds like a man who has worked his ass off for 2 years, and knows that all the time & effort is gonna really start to pay off on the field & in the win column this year, now

That interview made me want to put on some pads and hit someone in the name of Mark Stoops. When you hear him talk it's easy to see how come we can recruit so well. Dude is a football coach, plain and simple.
My favorite part (paraphrasing) is when he alluded to the fact that he has been hesitant to speak about what we could accomplish during the season because he knew the product on the field wasn't good enough and he didn't feel right manipulating people who drive hours away and spend a lot of money into thinking we would be better than what we were. BUT BUT BUT this year he feels confident in the product we are putting on the field and does not care to tell people that this could be a special year and he wants the stadium filled every game and wants the support from everyone to the max.

That was quite a profound statement by Coach Stoops… Made me standup and take notice.
Well by God I'm driving in from StL to watch them BEAT FLORIDA this year! I'm looking forward to this season.

Doin the same. First game at Commonwealth since Bama goalposts game. I wanted to see the stadium renovation, and I wanted to see us beat Florida.
That phone call was epic. IT'S TIME TO GO.

So, Jones referred to Stallings as a TRUE frosh? Is he really running with the 1's all the sudden? If so, that sure says a lot for the development of depth on the O-line right now.
Typical of Finebaum that he would select the most football challenged member of the UK sports media to have as a guest on UK football... as if trying to make the point that UK football is an afterthought, when it is not.
Why not invite Tom Leach? Justin Rowland? You name the UK football media figure, most of them are better guests that Jones, and that basically by his own recent admission. He was going to turn down the chance to let Finebaum pimp him out though.

I haven't been to a UK football game since the fall of 1978. I'm hopeful I'm going to be able to find two tickets to UK/UT. If the Cat's have succeeded in putting up some big wins at that point I would expect it to be a crazy environment, especially on Halloween. Tentative plans are to spend the day on campus where I haven't been since '91, and then go to the game. That depends of course on what is finally chosen as the game time.
