Stoops on KSR at 11:40.

He just said basiclaly Coen was a great person and Rams job was the one job he'd leave in just 1 year for...but was super helpful in the search for Sangerello

As far as Sangerello....super smart guy, more of Shannahan tree than McVay tree....but very impressive. Will Levis was part of process (which is super cool of Stoops IMO) and this is about the program but also helping Will get to next level

I’m relatively sure he would have gotten that from Coen had it not been McVey on the other end of the phone. I hope Sangarello came keep the balance going on offense, I have no doubt we will run the ball as well or better than Gran’s offense.

Yeah I wasn't saying anything about Coen. But I think it confirms to fans that it's eyes wide open on these guys using it for career moves. With Coen there was a lot of "cost of living" or "place to raise a kid" going around. That's not the type of guys we're getting for that spot right now because it's NFL coaches looking to get play calling experience to move forward in their career.

I think the good thing (or maybe not..) about Scangerello is that he's been there, done that, and been fired every time as NFL OC - correct me if I'm wrong. I know he took on some poor teams, but I don't really see desirable NFL teams lining up to hire this guy even if he wins the SEC-E.

I really like what I know about this guy - basically just everything he told us in his first press interview. He started in college, he learned under a QB guru, he became a QB guru, and is well respected by Kyle Shanahan. I don't know if he can call plays, but he appears to know his stuff. At 49 years old, I hope he can be successful here, and enjoy calling plays here for a long time.

He has only called plays one season in his career…for the Broncos. It didnt seem like anybody thought he was horrible and that really it was considered ‘inconclusive’ what he was because he had late stage Joe Flacco at qb. Although, as I posted above, there was some ‘he designs plays well but maybe not as strong at calling a game’ Seems like the great thing about him is his knowledge…which is a big part of things but never guarantees success. I mean there’s more to it than that. The guy has a comfort about himself already and what he feels he knows. But the reality is he’ll have to adjust some and develop some feel. Some people struggle with those things. He may be the next big thing and I hope so. Time will tell.

Just wondering if he keeps Gran on staff for next year? If Sangerello moves on after a year or two, could he bring Gran back with a new emphasis to continue this game plan?

Gran is off field admin. His days coaching at UK are over. The plan is in 2 yrs the new OC moves on & Scott Woodward becomes OC.

Going on to remind Catholics we aren't to eat between meals or eat meat today.
That silly rule, Fish only on Fridays and no birth control allowed are why myself and millions of other former Catholics, no longer are. I wont be a hypocrite and I sure don't feel I am going to hell for any of that stuff.
