Mark Stoops - New HC, only experienced as a DC
DJ Eliot- New Defensive Coordinator, never anything more than a position coach (Can't recruit) Defense can barely get lined up most of the time - Needs fired
Shannon Dawson - New Offensive Coordinator, was coordinator in title only at WVU, mainly a QB coach (Can't recruit) Offense is too predictable, poor schemes - Needs fired
Derrick Ansley - Stoops had to take over the defensive backs, he came from UCF after one year as a DB coach, was a grad asst. before that, young. (Recruits very well) - Keep for now, see how he develops as a coach
Jimmy Brumbaugh - Had some experience at some P5 schools at least, but came from a Junior College, the defensive line continues to get worse (Mediocre recruiter at best and only with Juco's) - Needs fired
Tommy Mainord - 15 years coaching experience, WR is probably the strongest position on the team. (Recruits very well) - Keep on staff
Vince Marrow - Was a grad asst. before coming here, recruits well, knows the game, TE's are showing some promise, but still overall not a very experienced coach, so not someone Stoops can lean on for advice in certain situations. (Top recruiter) -Obviously want to keep him
John Schlarman - Was coaching HS football not long ago, only a few years college experience at Troy, now coaching against SEC defenses, and defensive linemen. (solid recruiter) - Needs fired
Chad- Scott- young coach, a little more experience than Schlarman, RB's have played well, and developed quickly (Recruits well) - Keeper
Andy Buh- 15 or so years college experience, but not SEC experience, and bounced around year after year, can't really say much good or bad about him yet... (Decent recruiter at best) - Tossup
I don't know what's more inexperienced, the team or the coaches...
This team is becoming a joke, and Stoops is going to lose them if he doesn't change things quickly, and find some guys who can turn it around quickly.
