He needs to be the DC himself, other coaches are capable of doing it, he needs to do it, it's his future as a HC that is on the line.
We don't have the players to run a 3-4, this team has to go to a traditional 4-3 to compete. Simplify things, half the time our defense can't even get lined up before the snap... that's coaching.
Eliot.... gone He's just awful
Dawson... gone Pitiful adjustments, and not a recruiter... he stuck with Towles, that was his down fall, Towles is not an air raid offense QB, an air raid offense requires a QB who can read defenses quickly and complete the routine passes very accurately.... those are 2 traits that Towles just flat out doesn't possess. Another wasted, bowl less season. It doesn't require a big arm.
Brumbaugh... gone... no improvement all season from the Dline
Schlarman.... GTFO... nice guy, can't coach in the SEC
Buh... maybe keep him not sure yet
Keep Ansley, Scott, Mainord, and Marrow, they recruit very well, and their positions have played well enough, some issues, but overall they aren't losing us games.
Hire a Special Teams coach that's worth a damn
The UKAD needs to go out and drop about 1 mil a year on the best line coaches in the game that they can get, 500k/year starting out. The lines will have some talent in a couple of years, if they can hold on to this recruiting class.... very doubtful at this point.
Gut check time for these coaches and this team, it's not over, but they better show up against Georgia, and the rest of the season.
