Of all players that could possibly return after next (15-16) season, only skal is projected to be drafted (so far).

Gotta know cal will land his players in the 16 class and they'll have ullis, briscoe, lee, Matthews, etc., to look at for leadership.

My fear is, if we have all these kids coming back, the same things will happen that happened this year. Kids wont want to split time at the 1,2 and 4 spot. This will mean we will land a top 3 and 5 but not much else. Almost need Ulis to go pro in order to land a top PG.

IMO Ulis doesn't need to leave to bring in another PG. Kobi Simmons, UK's primary PG target, Is 6'4 6'5ish. I could see him playing along side Ulis. Briscoe is one and done in my opinion so that should make it easier to pull in a guy like that.

This line of thinking makes no sense. Why would anyone prefer another PG over a junior Tyler Ulis? The kid is special. He could be another TJ Ford (only shorter and a better shooter) and you want him to leave?

Absolutely don't understand why we would want to push Ullis out the door for a FRESHMAN pg. Ullis will be our floor general for the next three years, and I will take that any day rather than a freshman floor general. The OP has a point, we could be looking at a very deep team again in 17.

Why would Ulis need to leave and honestly why would you ever want him to? I'll take a junior Ulis over almost anything that would be coming in to play the point in 2017. Wheres the logic in that?

I expect Briscoe to be gone too. Think he'll have a Booker type season where you knew it was possible he could be one and done but wasn't the front of your mind. Also lose Lee and Poythress most likely so we'll have plenty of minutes for bigs. Man the off season sucks.

Ulis has shown me enough that i would lov3 to see him here 4 yrs.

I dont care who else is out there.

Why did Napier stay four years? F*k the kentucky effect lol.

I think there will be a 2/3rds shift in starting spots in '17. With a wing and a center accompanying ullis and briscoe.

Ulis over any freshman point guard. Kobi Simmons can take Briscoe's place as the combo. UK can land one of Bridges/Langford/King to play the 3 spot. A sophomore Matthews and senior Mulder and Hawkins give UK depth on the wing.

Really, I see Cal landing one combo, one true wing, and three bigs.

We "need" Ulis to go pro to land a top PG?
There is so much wrong with that statement. Why would you want a top 3 PG in college basketball to go pro so we can land a top freshman PG?
