How does he do in the NFL? Will he get drafted ? Gotta think he gets a look.

Maybe he's an undersized Drew Bree type qb. Gotta wonder how his size will equate in nfl???

Thoughts?

He doesn’t. Stetson Bennett is Scott Howard from Teenwolf. Unless he can summon werewolf powers, you’ll never see him in the NFL.

Uumpha Luumpa will make $25M on the movie rights and then into a booth or studio somewhere after not making the League

He basically lost the game until the fourth qtr…and UGA wins in spite of him all year

I would Ot even give him invite to a nfl training camp much less talk of him in nfl

Bennett was as big a part of the UGA success this year as any player on that team. He was the perfect manager for a great team. But, if he was on a Mac team or at Vandy, you would call him a tough monkey, but would never consider him an NFL prospect.

He's a long-shot but I did actually see a column yesterday analyzing draft position for different players in the game and he was mentioned as a 7th round or FA prospect.

Great story and hard worker!

that being said...

he is 6 foot 180lb, (probably less than that), he is not getting drafted

At best an undrafted free agent, I could see him as maybe a scout team QB for a season. Then probably heads into coaching.

Hard to back that up. LOL
Georgia won in spite of him, not because of him.

Stetson is now 14-3 as a starter, all 3 losses he cataclysmically blew it for Georgia with multiple interception games and just being shook.

There are 2 more talented QBs sitting behind Stetson at this moment, and with the top rated 5 star coming in, I’m assuming JT will transfer out, and there will be again next year, 2 wildly more talented QBs sitting behind Kirby’s Stepson Bennett.

Georgia is about to lose half their team to the NFL, let’s see if the great midget walk on can keep them winning when they will be relying a substantial amount more on the offense contributing to their wins next year.

I’ll put it bluntly

i hope he comes back to UGA and is Qb1 come Ky game next year. There is no world another qb in next years game vs Ky is a harder game then Stetson Bennett IV

these are the same goofy UK fans that lament Terry Wilson (who is way better then Stetson) is a great UK Qb due to win loss record….we win all those games in spite of Wilson. Any person with eyes know Levis had the same record in first year aa Wilson but Levi’s is miles ahead of Wilson

I am sure he will come back and UGA will beat us again with him at QB and make it look fairly easy. Hope I am wrong.

Franchises have blown a lot of good draft picks, roster spots, and money on worse prospects.

I'd take a late-round or free agency flier on him...especially after next season he'll have more reps under his belt

The dude is a baller

I wasn't a believer either but he won the game for the dogs in the fourth quarter. That free play pass was incredible and he made some other throws as well. Overall played well under an incredible amount of defensive pressure.

I doubt he has the physical gifts to play in the NFL. He might make a roster as the last QB or maybe even be relegated to a practice squad. But, his career in football probably peaked last night.
That's not a slam on the kid either. He's overachieved all his life. His teammates loved playing with him and Georgia might not have won the Title with a different QB.
Take the NIL money, your cup of coffee in the NFL and move back to Georgia to take a cushy job of your choice. Then, down the road, run for Congress and be a shoe-in.

He’s basically a slightly shorter version of Jake Fromm, who managed to get drafted late and has already made $3mill holding a clipboard. But that difference in height might be enough to keep Bennett out of the NFL.

This might be the early leader for most ignorant take of the year.
I'll stand at front of line then....Bennett has 2 5 * TE, 1 5* WR, 3 5* OL and 2 5 * RB...

1. He fumbled without being hit first drive of game
2. How many delay of games did UGA have/motion penalties of not being lined up...it was a fiasco first half
3. Stared down blitz...the fumble in 3rd qtr was awful. He had like 10 yards to see the guy coming at him and still didn't get it away in time.
4. First UGA int he was on the Bama 40 and three incompletions and a punt
5. Can't muster arm strength to throw sideline routes past the hashes.
6. And for a smart kid...he sure can't dissect and make intelligent plays.

I'll give the kid 4th qtr drives he came up big. But the last one was mostly running the ball at a tired Bama defense. UGA D got plenty of 3 and outs and he got possession after possession and did nothing with it. I don't know if Monken/Kirby are part of it....but that was one of the worst title teams I've ever seen on offense. It was all defense and a big play running the ball with one drive he led via the air.

I look for Bennett to be a fixture on the SEC Network in the coming years, right next to Greg McElroy. Bennett is a similar QB to what McElroy was at Alabama, and both won National Championships.
I think you may be on to something.

17/26 … 224 yards … 2 touchdowns … 0 interceptions

While getting relentless pressure all night long, against THE #1 team in college football, and THE greatest coach of all-time (who had all year to prepare for you).

You can downplay the kid, pick his game apart, magnify what few mistakes he made, and completely ignore the 80% of the game he was really good … but I’m going to tip my hat to a kid who rose from a walk-on with zero chance of ever playing, to leading his home school to a national championship over the team and coach no one else in the country seems to be able to beat. You have to try really hard to talk negative about this kid right now.

Dude took his team to a Natty, kept the “better” QBs on the bench, won the game and was honored as MVP and it is goofy to say he firmly deserves to be the QB of UGA? Okay. I will let others deal in hypotheticals while I just point to the winner. And, BTW, I do not think he is an NFL QB and I don’t pretend he, or any QB, is perfect. But, at the end of the day, he is the QB who won it all. And, last night, all of the worthy QBs sat and watched him do it. :)
