Something has to give, either Lebron really is that good, or other great players want to play with him. since 2000, the first 3 years without LJ, .308 win percentage, next 7 years with LJ, .608 win percentage, then 4 years without, .321 win percentage, then the last 3 years with him, .654 win percentage. Maybe Lebron really is that good. I'm not saying they didn't add players, clearly they did, but one of the two or a combination has to be correct. They have had 10 years of Lebron in the 17 seasons since 2000, and the lowest win total while he was in town was 35, his rookie year. The highest win total in the other 7, 33 the year before LeBron returned from Miami.
Having said all of that, this is much more of a front office issue than anything. In 10 years of having the best player on the planet and you can only manage to build one title team? LeBron may be part of the issue, but at some point, somebody has got to get control of the personnel. If LeBron had a supporting cast similar to Durant at Golden State, I bet all those going to LA rumors would pipe down considerably.
