Does anyone have any clue what the statute of limitations is imposed on the kind of charges they are bringing forward? Could they somehow bust a program like Kansas over Josh Selby receiving $200k to come to Kansas even though that is something that would have happened a LONG time ago. 10+ years dang near. Just a random school and random player to help frame my query. Surely, like most every other crime, their is a limiting factor on what they can use, right?

Just a random question that came up at work today. I have no idea how you could come across an answer to a question like this. Maybe a lawyer on here would have an educated guest of a response on a matter like this?

It depends on the charges, and also depends on any interim actions, such as furthering a conspiracy or concealment. Perhaps more critically, the NCAA violations that would result from this investigation are well within the NCAA's statute of limitations I believe.

Thanks for the correction, SmashCat! I obviously meant $200k! Or how about UL'recruitment of Samardo Samuels 10 years ago? Is that something that would still be deemed admissible. Thanks for the replies so far. It just seems like a question I haven't seen touched on.
