Staff proves ability to evaluate talent yet again

We officially have our 4th four star player (according to ESPN). Gunnar Hoak, a 3 star QB out of Ohio (recruited by Dawson) has been committed for a while, as many of you know. Today, he was re-evaluated, and ranked as a 4 star QB, the #15 pocket passer in the nation, 8 spots ahead of former QB target Messiah DeWeaver (who committed to Michigan State).
Last season as a junior, Hoak threw for 30 touchdowns and 2,584 yards, completing 171 of his 261 passes. If you haven't seen a video of the kid before, help yourself to his hudl highlight, I'll leave it below!

Agreed! Would be a huge get for UK. Hard to argue with five 4 star players this early in the process. Could lead to a domino effect, which would be fantastic!

Some excellent talent and some excellent posts. Rivals needs to get with it, not so bad being a three star, but only a 5.5 three star is way too low. I feel that way about a couple of our early Kentucky commits also.

Our staff is doing an amazing job of evaluating the talent before everyone else.

his video is wayyy better than deweavers and several osu fans were really critical of deweaver as a d1 prospect at all. i know they can be harsh but when talking about recruits amongst themselves you usually get an honest vibe.

glad hoak got the bump. wasn't expecting it. this class is gonna be the best ever and looney, ross, and bannerman are ranked wayy too low as well. some other guys might get slight bumps but those 3 are ridiculously underrated.

His coach is pretty high on him. Read an article where he was quoted saying that at the same point in their careers, Hoak is a better QB than Brady Quinn was (he coached them both). You can say that Quinn was a good college QB.

I'm glad for him, several on here thought we "settled" for him at QB. Its been said often now but worth repeating, this staff knows talent.
