Good for them. Hope it pays dividends down the road.

Probably the best team they played yet...SOS is 220 which is garbage. We will find out soon enough if they are real. ONe thing is they do have a nice collection of bigs, we bang the hell out of us when we go there, especially that douchebag Caberra...

Was talking to a dude named LEK on the Paddock. he thinks USC smokes us this year.

The disclaimer, of course, being that their schedule has been pathetic. Clemson's the first big conference team they've played.

I'll finally give them props for playing a Power 5 team, albeit a 4 loss average Clemson one at best. Good road win though.

Get to play crummy St. Johns next and unimpressive Memphis at home before SEC play starts. In a position to enter conference play at 13-0. Obviously they'll start losing in conference play but Martin won't need that many SEC wins to get a bid.

Glad to see Martin putting it together. The SEC will be a top 2 basketball conference in a couple of years.

These type of games give a team a lot of confidence.....I think sec play will be interesting this year for us.

I think he'll still need to go 10-8, but I think they will.

I'm not sure people commenting here have even watched them play. They have a very decent team.

South Carolina has a history of getting good coaches in both football and basketball, but they don't win on a big-time level.

and they have to start somewhere;
Martin's record at K-State was pretty good - he got COY in the Big 12 and got KSU to the Elite 8 in 2010. (understand I mean pretty good as a relative thing)
I bet the gets a couple of upsets in conference play - but also loses a couple they shouldn't. Bubble team, IMO

It would be good for the SEC to get 5-6 teams into the NCAA tourney on a yearly basis. I honestly don't care who those teams are (aside from UK) but, the SEC has been garbage in basketball for long enough. In the early 2000's the SEC was fairly strong. Got to get back to those days.

Kentucky always has homecourt advantage from a fan perspective in Columbia. I live here and I don't expect anything different this time even with them playing well. This game sold out at least a month ago and I'm sure the tickets went to mostly UK fans.
