Sorta OT: Mike Munchak

Word in Denver was he's kind of a d***head but has forgotten more about OL coaching than most will ever know. Well respected as a coach, not so much as a person. Consultant would be an ideal position in that he can impart knowledge and help Yenser/OL without having to recruit, hobnob, etc.

Living in the Nashville area I've know about Munchak for a long time. He was the OL coach when the Oilers moved to town and became the Titans. During his time here the Titans consistently had one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. Then they fired Jeff Fisher as Head Coach and Munchak took his place. As good as he was an on O-Line coach, he was equally as bad as a head coach. I like the idea, though. He's in the Pro Football HOF from his time as a lineman, and he coached several All-Pros.

Never saw this in October, but needs to be brought up to the top. Go get this man.

I'm sure Munch has forgotten more about OL play than most coaches know. But ... the college game is so much more than "knowledge." College coaches need to relate to players as much as they coach them. Plus, we need a recruiter.

I doubt Munch would relate, and he certainly doesn't want to recruit. Send OL coach to Munch for a week each year, but get an OL coach that loves the college game and hanging out with 20 yr olds.

JS was perfect in his role. He loved them. Players knew it, and it allowed him to give them hard coaching. They would've ran through a wall for JS. Few coaches (especially positional coaches) have that balance between rapport/coaching ability.

OL coach, worked with Scran in Denver, highly respected, currently not coaching. Would love it if we could bring him in as a consultant, as we need all the help we can get.
No one from that fangio era in Denver. That includes Scangarello he needs to go not bring in his buddies good grief people.

He was the Steelers OL coach from 2014-18 and was well respected. He left for Denver in part because he had family there. The Steelers tried to rehire him recently but he didn't want to leave the Denver area.
