I had to go to a meeting today, so I recorded the game without knowing the results. Of course the game quit recording with 10 minutes to go and I didn't see the end of the game. Before I even look at the final score - I predict we lost. This team didn't deserve to lose this game. In my opinion we dominated the game - forget what the announcers were saying about Vandy's great defense - they are good. But this game was lost by the offensive play calling or lack thereof. If Dawson is calling the plays - he should be relieved of his duties immediately and let one of the old three stooges call the games.
Twice on goal to goal and less than a few yards out we don't take our 6'5' quarterback and just "sneak" it in for a TD! No, lets get 6 yards back and run into the one thing that Vandy has going for it. I am so mad at the moment. I have been a big Stoops supporter - but if he can't admit they don't have a game plan when it comes to offensive coaching he is blind himself.
I will continue to support the program - but I have no hope for him or the team unless we have someone else running the offense.
Poor defense played their asses off - who ever is coaching them is doing fine.
