If Calipari completely strikes out in the portal I'd like to see him go after Cyril. He's a likely reclass and it's been rumored Dillingham is trying to get him to UK. No source just saw somewhere a couple days ago that Dillingham messaged him "We need a big man next year" and Cyril replied something like "tell Cal to hit me up." Probably nothing just sharing what I read. And before you say we don't want a reclass... watch some tape. He's not a project.

Looks very big and developed for his age. Not much of an offensive game outside of dunks but says he loves to rebound and block shots and just wants to win for his team. Got to like that attitude. Getting to the point where we are running out of choices for a big man so if he would really listen to Cal and Dillingham had been in his ear why not give him a shout.

When he signs a 5 star, Cal just reminds them to try to play some defense and then he turns them loose. Then he screams at them. Cal didn't take the time to try to develop Ware, Collins, or Hopkins. They left. Onyenso almost left. Honestly, does anyone think Cal will take the time to try and develop Cyril?

Cyril is the best big man we can get at this point.

At 7’0, 240 lbs., he is already built to handle the college game.

Hopefully we get him and between him and Onyenso, we can have some semblance of an inside presence.

I don’t know why Cal is not prioritizing a true big man.

Right now we have two players total over 6’8, Onyenso and Bradshaw, and Bradshaw is more suited to playing the 4.

We need another big man in the worst way and it sounds like Cyril is the best option.

Cal needs to add Cyril, Burka, and Hart, then wait for Reeves to decide.

If Reeves leaves (I think he will), then our 10 man roster is set.

Seems like Reeves does not want to compete for starting minutes, and does not want the pressure if he does start. In other words he wants to surrounded by proven talent, and be a starter.

If Reeves doesn’t come back & if we don’t add any transfers, I feel confident in saying that it’ll be the least experienced team that any coach has ever had. First year programs aren’t even this inexperienced. I can’t think of any other situation, off the top of my head, when a team had so many FR & so little returning production & experience. But, surely, we’ll eventually have at least ONE player who has played CBB, before, right? 😬😂

He is the proven cbb senior. He should start and the freshmen compete to take it from him. 5* stars don't count if you have never played the game.
