The more I see of KU the better I like our chances in that game. Sure we will be playing in Allen Field House, but if our guys can get up for that game there is a really good chance we could actually win that one. KU can't handle pressure very well. Ulis and Briscoe may be the key to winning that game.

Their home court advantage will be huge, especially with our tendency to play bad on the road. They're undefeated there since... I don't even know when. If we had them at Rupp, maybe. As it is, I'm not expecting a whole lot unless we do a 180 fast.

Not afraid of it but still think KU wins at their place.
Heck most folks think we can't even win at Ar-Kansas.[winking]

I wouldn't be surprised if we win to tell you the truth because I think our guys will be ready because it's a big game. Would I be surprised if we lose? No, but it'll be a good game.

I wouldn't be surprised if they went 12-2 OR 2-12 to finish out the season... (well maybe not 2-12, but you knowhutimean)

Not necessarily afraid of Kansas or anyone...just have no idea what to expect.

Is this still the same Kentucky team that got smashed at UCLA and lost at Auburn, or did I mistake what year it is and it's actually 2014? Unless something changes and quick, Kentucky doesn't stand a chance at Kansas.

Any who are scared and afraid take heart. Cal and the players are not afraid.... win, lose, or die... they will play to win.

No chance unless there is that secret weapon sitting on the bench.

KU's a bit of a mystery - don't know what you're going to get type of team too.

They looked good against UCLA in Maui, the 2nd half against Vandy, against Baylor at home they looked scary good and at least "on par" w/ OU when they won the 3OT game.

But they looked scary bad in the game last night. I have a hard time not thinking that that's likely their "bottoming out" and they should start playing better.

They still count the same as a regular shot no?

The difference is a team like KU, dUKe, UNC and the like are not going to jack up shots like that all game long. Auburn will take more chances than a big boy team. It could actually go very wrong if you aren't hitting.

As a UK basketball fan I'm never afraid of any game any where. We do have reason for concern though, especially in the Phog. I agree that if we play our best we can beat them. Just as I'm sure we could beat UCLA, OSU, LSU, and Auburn. Particularly up front. If Poythress and Lee both show up and play well then we have a good chance. If not, or we shoot terribly we'll have very little chance. This team has little to no margin for error.

We just lost to the shittiest team ever on the road. So yes, I am still worried about playing at Kansas.

We lost at LSU and Auburn.

Unless this team shows us something between now and then we will lose, and it likely won't be pretty.

Allen Field House is right up there with Rupp and Cameron as the toughest places to play on the road.

lsu was a big game too. i would be surprised if we win and i hope i am.

I'm smelling a lot of "if" coming off this plan. Don't get me wrong, I think there's enough talent to beat KU, but given how poorly UK has been playing lately, it is very hard to see them being competitive in this game. Of course, they may get up for big names like Duke. If they can drop a deuce like they did against Auburn, they can get their doors blown off at KU. It could be very ugly a la Pitino's trip there during his early days at UK.

Auburn hit a ton of lucky shots to win that game. It has nothing to do with Kansas.
We beat Kansas by a lot last year and they want revenge.

This will be the loudest Allen Field House will be all year!!

When you're a really good team's super bowl and you're not a very good team yourself, it doesn't bode well.

I wasn't scared of Auburn, how did that turn out. I was not afraid of UCLA, how did that turn out? So yes, I am afraid of Kansas and any other team left on the schedule.

yep, have hope, but expect nothing
Except, I do expect them to at least play hard. There would be no shame in losing at KU: there would be if they gave up before they started

One things for sure, the game thread will be epic either way. What's the high low of meltdowns if we lose?

I can't imagine you have been watching us play if you believe this?

We may very well lose this game coming up in Allen Fieldhouse, but I'll NEVER be "afraid" of those choke artists.

All-time, they're our bitch and will continue to be so irrespective of what happens this season...

Fear or intelligence... something should tell you we are more than likely going to lose. We could have an excellent shooting night and win or we could have Alex go off or Skal finally show up, but barring something outside the norm then we are probably going down and maybe by a lot.

My prediction is that the Kansas game looks a lot like the LSU game.

Depends on how well we play in a half court game. KU is VERY good in transition. Have to make it a half court game w as few turnovers as possible and we have a chance. Will be interesting to see Poy match up on Ellis and Briscoe on Seldon.
