So, what's up with the Kevin Knox recruiting change?

If I was guessing, I would say Missouri, probably on his list now.
Yeah, Porter trying to get other guys to join him. Knox is visiting, and they just got a 4 star guard. If they get Knox and maybe another big piece, they just might be good next year.
Even if they get Knox, they still can't compete with KY and Florida. They'll be middle of the SEC at best.
If a kid isn't from Missouri, and his dad isn't getting a job, I'd have to wonder about their ACT score , if they picked Missouri.
Highly doubt he's coming here so Mizzou works for me.
I think they could compete for sure. Remember, they still have 3 good pieces returning from last year. If you combine those guys with Porter, KNox and this other guard they just got they are going to be real good.
I though Coach Cal said his priority is still getting Bamba and Knox. I thought someone said that Coach Cal would be visiting with Knox and family this coming week. I would not give up on Coach Cal getting Knox yet. I still say with Green recruiting him and the Washington family close to the Knox family we still have a big shot landing Kevin Knox.
Don't forget they are one of the leaders to sign Tilmon too. Talent wise next year I think they battle with BAMA for 3rd place in the SEC.
Shit,, i say just take Johnson along with Vanderbilt and we'll be just as good as adding Knox with Vanderbilt.. He's not coming here anyway so it's just a waste of time to keep recruiting him..
If Porter and Knox both end up at Mizzou, that would be a great class for them, but they won't be able to do with it what Cal could do here. Most other coaches just don't have the ability to develop freshmen like Cal does. I don't know how he does it, but he needs to patent it.

I think South Carolina will be very good again if Dozier comes back, as they will have a terrific 1-2 punch on the interior.
I think Vanderbilt is actually very under-rated currently, he is more of a top 5 talent in my opinion. I think he is better than Knox in my view, because he does a lot more things well than Knox does.
Really hope we get Knox somehow. He appears to be the real deal. Him and bamba make us the favorites to win it imo.
Probably what is keeping Vanderbilt's ranking down is his shooting. He has great handles, looks to pass, rebounds well, and has a high motor. If he were able to cultivate a consistent jumper, he'd be lottery.
Rashad Vaughn, Stephen Zimmerman, Antonio Blakeney, Ben Simmons, Malik Newman, Jarrett Allen, Markelle Fultz, what makes anyone think Porter Jr. or Knox if he goes to Mizzou too doesn't just become them? if you want to play for a bad team and be the guy, you won't be a winner, winning is in guys dna and those guys aren't winners.
I think Chad Ford moved him into the top 10 for next year's draft already.
If they get Knox and Tilman, they'll be legit. They'll be more than legit, they'll be pretty damn good. Now, we'll have to see how Martin handles a bunch a players like that but on paper, they could be very good.

This is a much different situation. The guys you named for starters, for the most part played for god awful coaches; Missouri in my opinion now has a good coach, not great, but good. Second, if Knox goes to Missouri and joins Porter and Harris, that recruiting class would contend to be a top 5 class potentially. Lastly, the tigers actually have 3 pretty good players returning from last season, so this potential Missouri team will be nothing like the players' situation that you mentioned.

Would love to see Knox commit to the guys he played with in the all-star games. Not sure why you'd want to go against that way of thinking. You have guys in the same situation as you, and playing together doesn't hurt your ability get in the lottery.
Saying that, give me Knox and Bamba. See, you can dream on this board and create your own dream team. And based on the rumor I heard about Knox playing the 2, this is probably Cal trying to fit everyone in.
