Maybe ESPN backed off because: first, nothing new is happening right now (we're still waiting for the NCAA to decide if they want to create a new NOA); second, going all in with MareBear was a bad idea considering her "research" was flawed, she lied several times to obtain data she should not have had, the "Rosa parks paper" story was fabricated, and I could keep going. Why do you think the national media backed off so quickly once this came out? When's the last time you read a Ganim or Barret (sp?) article on this subject? Probably around the same time MareBear was exposed. This left them with Rashad McCants, who's not the most credible person (not to mention he refuses to be interviewed by anyone about this).
Oh, yeah, why would a university fire a coach who was NEVER MENTIONED IN ANY allegation? Why are you (anyone) not crying over Jim Boeheim still having a job? or Brown?
