So Is UL An Elite Program Now

Don't think they ever were. They are a pretty solid program though and relevant (for all the wrong reasons presently)
Yes, I think they are elite. Name me one other Div I team to have a National Championship vacated. You can't can you? That's right, ul is so elite they have no peer.
They kept screaming over and over "look at me, look at me", and now that people are looking they realize just how elite they are. They're in a class by themselves, kind of like a unc basketball player.
Ive told my family in kentucky for years as well as guys here, you only ever thought they were because you are from the state. Outside of Kentucky no one ever thought of them on that level. Hell, I grew up in Tennessee and thought programs like Syracuse were better. Some of you have no idea how big of a shadow UK really puts over them.

This is what happens when the athletic department runs the whole university. Too many people looking the other way. But maybe they chose the right path? There's no way they would be in the ACC without athletics.
Yeah...UL doesn't come to mind when you throw the elite title out there. Sorry UL fans, but you really aren't.
They aren't now and they weren't before today either. Today just makes it that much more obvious.
It sure doesn't help their case of being one of the elite basketball schools. It will also put a sour taste in Rock's mouth during his time coaching at UL. The only really good showings in the NCAA tourney now officially never happened. To have titles vacated makes the school look awful. All those years UL fans told us this would happen at Kentucky with Cal coaching here and it's Rick and UL that the NCAA decides is cheating enough to take away titles. Man, what a burn that must feel like. Sorry, guys. You can always keep the fingers crossed and hope someday a prediction from a UL fan isn't totally worthless.
You both beat me to it because I thought exactly the same thing. Somehow I'm sure the Zipper will spin this in his typical insane fashion. He's the worst.
