So how does 31-0, 34-0 and 38-0 look now?

Even if the Wisconsin game sucked and we couldn't finish the deal, those were still three amazing accomplishments, wouldn't you say?

P.S. This isn't for most of you. It's for the guys who refuse to see last season as anything but a disappointment.

I was disappointed when they lost, but very proud of the team as a whole .I don't think most people realize how very difficult it is to win six games in a row to win the NCAA C'ship. All it takes is one off night and a team of lesser talent can beat you.The best team doesn't always come out on top. That's why they play the game.

If we win it all this year, is this year more of accomplishment than last season? I say yes. Just wondering what everybody else thinks.

I agree it was an amazing accomplishment to go undefeated and that team will always be one I remember. But if this team pulls it off I would be even more shocked.

With the way the game is being called now with the new "freedom of moment" BS...do you think that team still goes undefeated for that long???? Just interesting to think about I guess. I mean it took some head scratchers to end the streak against Wisky. I think the new rule made every game a roll of the dice and it took away athletic superiority to level the field.

It is irrationally unfair to our Kids to call every season we don't hang a banner a failure or disappointing.

Yes, of course. But 38-0 shouldn't be tossed aside like it's an embarrassment based on the end result. It was probably THE best season up to the Final Four since...maybe ever, if you consider that Indiana's regular season schedule was weak in 1975 and 1976, as was UNLV's in 1991 and all of the UCLA teams.

It wasn't an epic failure but they didn't win the championship and at the end that's all that matters.
Look at how each player is doing in the NBA from last years team, it was epic. I can understand losing somewhere in the season due to lack of focus, but to Whisky, cmon

That doesn't make any sense. By every statistical measure Wisconsin was far and away the best team we played all season last year. They had the most efficient offense ever since they started tracking the stat. Our weakness all season long was playing against big guys who can shoot, put it on the floor and also beat us out of side pick and rolls. Wisconsin had 2 of those guys, and they happened to be their 2 best players. Wisconsin was a fantastic team who happened to be a bad matchup for us. So saying that we had to lose to someone but you don't understand how it was to Wisconsin shows how little you paid attention to college basketball last year.

I feel sorry for people who can't appreciate all there is to being a Kentucky Wildcat fan, and reduce it to some number of banners that they feel somehow gives them bragging rights.

Exactly. Jodie Meeks' 54 point game didn't even get us in the NCAA tournament. What a waste. The 31-point comeback at LSU? That team didn't make it out of the second round. Tubby's great 2003 team? Didn't even make the Final Four. Failures, all.
