I didn't realize they played this year and I am fearful for Vandy. Just glad we're not playing them this year. They look legit and that offense is pretty amazing. Do they hit 70 again?

All I know is I am going to close my eyes. Kind of like I had to do sometimes when UK was playing in the old days.

It is going to be painful. I am tempted to quote Marsellus Wallace, explaining his intentions for his former captors. The quote includes a word I am not going to casually drop on the board.

Vandy may not win another game this year. They have A&M, Houston and MTSU plus the rest of the East. Look at their recruiting for this year.

They'll have to change their name to the Vanderbilt Fighting Zeds

Let down game for the Rebels. I would not look for a huge beat down here. I would say Ole Miss by 17.
Remember they benefited from 5 Bama TOs last week.

Yep 5 turnovers and on the good end of every lucky bounce and still had to hold on to win. But they still beat Vandy pretty bad. They are a good team who doesn't have many question marks.

Vandy will get rocked and Hugh Freeze from the looks of it like blowing teams away and doesn't think twice. Ole Miss is a fun team to watch though.

Georgia is better imo than ole miss, Vandy played UGA pretty tough for a while. I'd say something like a 21-10 game.

Ole Miss might very well score a hundred
Only kidding. I've not seen much on Vandy other than what I read on here and from the consensus on this board, Saint X or Trinity would give Vandy a run for their money.

like a red headed step child.
Wait, can I still say that in today's politically correct, holier than thou world?

if they play this week it will be a let down game for Ole Miss could be closer than expected at first, however will still probably annihilate them we its all over.

I don't think it will be too big of a blowout. Ole Miss isn't going to look at this game like they did last week. They are due an off night on offense.

closer & uglier than you people expect. Ole Miss in the classic letdown spot after a huge program-defining win @ Bama, and playing an opponent that they assume they can toss their helmets on the field & win by 50. Plus since he has taken over as the hands-on DC Mason's defense has been spunky so far this season. After he gets fired I wouldnt mind that guy on our defensive staff in the future.

I think Ole Miss names the score. Depends on how interested the Rebels are.
What goes up must come down.

Ole Miss and Georgia looked awesome this weekend, IMHO.

My guess is Ole Miss will score in the 30s barring any defensive TDs. Say 31-7

Vandy's defense has looked pretty good and as another poster mentioned, Ole Miss could have a letdown...

I'll go along with that poster and say Ole Miss by 17.

Vandy's defense isn't that bad, it all depends on how many turnovers they make and how long they can keep Ole Miss offense off the field. Probably 35-10 will be the score.

Vandy has won during its last three trips to Oxford but won't do it this time. But, not many are likely to enjoy a trip to Oxford this year. Ole Miss 34, Vandy 16

A couple of NCAA year-to-date stats that may surprise:

Total Offense: Vandy #50 tied
Total Defense: Vandy #15*
(*includes UGA and WKU which are known as effective offenses)
(as a point of reference, UK is #102 and #70, respectively)

One point about Mississippi, they were the best team on the field Saturday. The championship goes through Oxford this year.

Vandy gave up 400 yards to UGA . They have also played an overrated WKU and a 1-AA Unfortunately for them, the schedule gets harder. The scored 12, against a teribly defensive WKU,14 against UGA and then 44 point against a 1-AA.
