So far

Giving up wide open threes, getting beat to the rim on switches, and giving up to many points in the paint. Defense could be much much better.

I wish this team had the killer instinct like the 96 team had ... that's me being selfish and trying to reduce my stress .... lol

Could be better, but on pace to only give up 54. If we didn't turn the ball over so much, we'd be up by 10.

We may be on pace for a low score, but there have been a few too many lapses on defense for my tastes. Besides, Florida only averages 64 a game anyway. The pace of this game is relatively slow. So while we are only on track to give up 54, that's not a great testament to our defense in this case. It hasn't been horrible, but it hasn't been particularly good either.

So far we have looked like chit...way too many jump shots and our defense is a step slow. Cal maybe should stop switching screens.

Defense isn't snothering at this point but when you give up 27 points in the half and you're up only 3, the offense is the main problem.

I hope we don't wait until the last few minutes of the game to step it up. We need end game defense now. Let's put them away early. Someone might just get us one of these games if we can't shut them down at the end.

Nah. Don't change the D now. It's 100% about intensity with this team. When they are aggressive and play with intensity the defense is almost impenetrable.

Yeah, FL shooting 44.4% overall and 50% from three.

The D has been mediocre so far despite pace and score.

Like many have said when this team plays hard they are dominant. The problem is these guys seem to lose focus when they play crappy teams and they expect to win big with only half the effort.

I wish we would stop switching on defense all the time. Some teams like Florida and Georgia have killed us because of it. We need to hedge out on some of those screens.

I don't think we should play up so tight on Hill. He is not a shooter, he is at his best going to the rack

Defense seemed to be doing better but we give up a drive to the basket and another wide open three. That three had Stein running out late which seems to give up a lot of threes.

Well at this point in 96 they had 1 loss. This team has ZERO.

We don't do good getting guys open for threes in the halfcourt lately. Other teams are able to get open more because of us switching while they don't.

Florida is making perimeter shots and Kentucky is not. That's the story of the game.

Karl is the only post player that can draw a double team. Willie doesn't command a double. So why are we insistent on posting Willie up?
