But compare what SMU did to at least two decades of systematic cheating that allowed basketball and football and other athletes to play without doing the proper class work to stay eligible, never mind the Wheels-for-Heels, the fake jobs to people like Tami Hansborough and the laxity that allowed people like PJ Hairston to get popped multiple times, at least once with a gun and drugs, while people like Will Graves got busted with drugs in a Roy Williams property.
The scale of what UNC did was so much greater. There is no possible explanation, outside of fear, for the NCAA to let UNC compete in the coming NCAA tournament after already charging them, with overwhelming evidence, of five counts of lack of institutional control.
