Danny Delane Forrest, 73, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024.
Danny was one of 13 children born to the late Mary Ella (Poynter) and Ernest Welby Forrest in Edmonton, KY. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, and retired from the Hillerich & Bradsby Co. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents; son, David Anthony Forrest, and 8 brothers, and sisters, and grandchild, Nicholas Delane.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lynn (Bryant) Forrest; children, Christa Thompson (Demond), Byron Forrest (Elrion); Aaron Forrest (Macy), and Thomas Forrest (Brittney); grandchildren, Christian, Anthony, Matthew, Rion, Jackson, Georgia, Rylan, Hailey, Joel, Hunter, Cameron, and Chloe; brothers, Jimmie Forrest (Diane), and Dale Forrest; sisters, Lora Belle Froedge, and June Hayden, and BBN Brothers, D.J., Donnie Ray, Kirk, Mike, Owen, and Harold.
His visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024, and 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
His funeral will be at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home.

I may have met Danny at the airport in Louisville as we were flying to Texas for the A&M game. Thanks for the obit. 72 is too young for a Catfan to pass.
 
Slugger was a consistent name on this board for as long as I've been a lurker/poster, and longer... sad to know we'll be a fan down this coming year. My most sincere condolences to his family and friends as they navigate the loss. He will be missed.
