I don't like being a person that brings negative attention to a situation but if Skal is a lottery pick then I might as well put my name in the damn draft. How can you tell me that kid is going to make it in the NBA? There is no way.

People keep saying it but I sure don't see it. Maybe a few years from now but not this year.

I don't get it either. "Potential" only goes so far. From what I've seen, this kid simply cannot play. He gives us NOTHING. No rebounding, no defense, no post play, no scoring, and is soft as soft gets. What team's gonna invest lottery money in that?

Again, he will be drafted on potential. But he has definitely become a much riskier pick.

I get drafting on potential. What I don't get is that there's any potential there. He's a decent - and I do mean decent, certainly not great - jump shooter. Otherwise he's just tall. He doesn't just lack strength, he's soft. You can put weight on a guy and get him stronger in most cases. Very rarely do you take a soft guy and and make him tough.

He can't guard at all. He doesn't rebound. He has a low to virtually nonexistent basketball IQ. He has no post moves. He jumps decently, but you wouldn't say he has springs. He moves OK, but he's certainly not quick. So where is this potential that everyone sees? It's time to realize that Rivals gets it wrong from time to time (see Selby, Josh) and start looking at what he's put on tape. It's not pretty.
