Skal gives us nothing. Humphries deserves these minutes.

It has been obvious Skal gives you nothing compared to Humphries...Cal with his NBA draft goggles on.

We don't have a single big man that has a clue. All of them are worthless. Murray, Ulis, and Willis will carry this entire team (Willis not so much).

Seriously though burn the redshirt on wynyard if need be he's a big, strong, kid. He could possibly give us a little bit more than nothing. And I feel like skal on the court just hurts our team more so than anything.

It's really embarrassing the #2 recruit in the country can't play at all in the game against the best front line we have faced all season. Don't forget after the Nike hoop summit several people had Skal as the number #1 pick over Simmons.

And fittingly, he's nowhere near that last rebound.
Yes...he missed 1 FT to give us the lead and he totally goes Fetal position on a terrible shot by AM to give up an easy game winner.

If Skal plays another minute, I'm over Cal's NBA crap. The kid is awful and Humphries is eons better.

People keep calling for Tai, but the kid doesn't want to play!!! He had a chance to go in at the end of the Georgia game and told Cal he didn't want to play.

England, I know you are connected. However, are you 100% certain that he doesn't want to play? I can't believe any kid with an ounce of testosterone, wouldn't kill someone and walk over their dead body to get into this game.

6 and 12 game. He's gonna get minutes just like Willis did. A huge silver lining in the loss.. and not to stir the shit, but a lot of posters wanted to no part in Willis and Hump.. And we need them. Had we put Hump in months ago, he could have had a 15 and 15 night.

Cal said it in his press conference. But if you are questioning Cal, fine.

Not one single time…not once!…in the Cal era have I wanted one of our players to leave early to make room for others. Skal is the first. I know he's a good kid. In fact, he's a great kid. But I would like him to leave and make room for someone else on the roster…Bolden, the Turkish kid, Lee to stay. It makes me feel bad, but I can't handle watching him (not) play.

Where the **** did that come from?. I'm not questioning Cal. I'm just asking a ****ing question.
I'm merely saying you don't have to take my word for it. Cal said he didn't want to play when we he had the chance. So it doesn't make sense for people to keep calling for him.

Thanks for the source. If Cal can't convince the kid to play, so be it. We'll have to play the hand that we've drawn.

Personally, I don't understand why he's taking a scholarship. I know he is project, but next year we already don't really have room for anyone to stay if they want to (Marcus, Briscoe, for example). So with those precious scholarships I want someone who is a fierce competitor and wants to get in there and mix it up. Maybe he will get there next year...

Yep. Never been one to criticize Skal much this year. Kept waiting for him to "get it". Well it ain't happening. Certainly not this year and he is def gone.

What really burns my chaps is watching Hump come in and just leave his heart on the court like today and still get minutes taken by Skal. Like everyone sed we all love Skal as a kid but he does not play hard, makes no attempt to rebound at all, and only seems concerned with his own jump shots on offense.

I have reached critical mass in Skal. Far as I am concerned he should not play a second the rest of the year. We know he is out after the season (which I don't blame him-gotta make a living). However, Hump played better tonight than Skal has all year. That cinched it for me.

Man if Skal stayed and was good enough to earn minutes and help next years loaded roster or if he's not and simply adds depth for practice what's the big deal? No sense in taking everything out on a guy who's simply not ready to play big time CBB yet. You act like he'll be exactly the same player next year. You want him gone yesterday. We get it. Give it a rest. He's a player at UK so show just a ounce of respect. It's not easy and he's not ready. We're not loaded up front if you didn't notice.

I didn't want him gone yesterday. And if you'll read my post you'll see that I called him a great kid. So I'm not exactly sure why you are acting like I'm being disrespectful. His potential, or lack thereof, is surely a legitimate topic of conversation.

You're right…he could improve. If he stays I hope like hell that he does. But I have not seen him consistently do one thing better through the course of this season. We will be tight on scholarships next year, and I'd rather have Lee or Briscoe back. It's just my preference.

I agree 99%. Only difference is I do think he tries to play hard. I think he thinks he is playing hard. But he just needs more years of battling before we will see improvement in my estimation.
