I drove that bronco through downtown Lexington the nights of our '98 and 2012 titles with big UK flags attached to the back. I just put bigger tires on it and painted it, so it should look much cooler the next time I get to do that.
Whaaaaaaat! I've been on the hunt for a reasonably priced early bronco for 20 years and now that the new broncos are out, there's no shot of running into a barn find for cheap.
Here's my sons 69 Bronco he dragged out of the woods and restored. Took him about 5 years. It's a labor of love.

I found one in Michigan 2 years ago at the back of a farm. It was completely rusted out and a tree was growing right up through the center of it. They refused to budge, wouldn't sell it for any amount of money.
One of these days.
I used a 460 out of a 71 Lincoln Continental, rebuilt it with all the goodies, aggressive cam, massaged heads, bored cylinders and a single plane intake.Critters were running in and out of the holes in the one he pulled out. Watching him bring that thing back to life was an absolute miracle. He pulled the motor out of his Mustang race car and put in it. Sold the race car and bought more bronco parts.
Out of the hole it will pack the front tires. lol. It's never been rained on since he got it. He takes it to a lot of cruise in car shows. He has turned down some big-time money offers for it.
Good luck finding anything early bronco reasonably priced.
Thank you. That is my 2 year old Goldendoodle named Dood!Winner!
. Love the early broncos. Has to be the sport version thoughWhaaaaaaat! I've been on the hunt for a reasonably priced early bronco for 20 years and now that the new broncos are out, there's no shot of running into a barn find for cheap.

I am dying to do a full frame-off restoration. Put a small lift on it, run 33" tires, cut the rear fenders, go with a dark orange, or bright yellow paint, and a fuel injected 5.0 motor.. Love the early broncos. Has to be the sport version though
I hope it still runs next time you have a chance to do that. (sobbing)Thanks, I was trying to find a neutral picture to use.

One if these days, it's going to happen.
If that 5.2L predator was narrow enough to fit under the hood, I would go that route. That motor is killing the competition in the Raptor R and GT500 mustangs. 750hp or so.331 stroker/cam/huge Holley 4 barrel/nitrous bottle/ safety harness.
Scariest ride I've ever participated in. lol

I bought mine back in '94 for $1,500.00, but there were 3 early broncos that were in better shape for the same amount of money. I wish I knew just how valuable those would end up becoming.Yea they have been my top vehicle for quite a while as well. There's a guy around Bowling Green that has multiple pre 77 broncos .
