this is from my TWC discription:

"Duke at North Carolina: The best rivalry in college basketball is renewed with the fifth-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels host Grayson Allen and the 20th rank Duke Blue devils who have returned to the top 25 with wins over Louisville and Virginia"

Who is determining that is the best rivalry? ESPN? And what is up with the Grayson Allen circle jerk?

God I hate this F'in state

The Kentucky/Louisville rivalry isn't as big, because Louisville is just not as big a deal.

Edit: sorry, I left out the word "not" which was pretty key to the intent of the post:)

Better than Vitale calling it the biggest rivalry in the world.

I mean cmon you can hate both schools but it really is the biggest college basketball rivalry.

It is the best college basketball rivalry. Their games actually mean something for a conference title and NCAA seeding. If UK and Louisville were in the same conference and play home and home every year, it could and would be just as big.

I think my issue is having it crammed down my throat. I wish we had a more suitable rival then UofL but I do not think there is a huge difference between ours and theirs beside the media forcing it upon people. I know people that aren't even basketball fans that tune into this game simply because it's talked about for weeks while ours is during prime football season.

it doesn't bother me - it IS a pretty big rivalry. Conference foes, plus they're what - 12 miles or so apart? Plus - and this is the biggest thing, the two teams are contenders on a regular basis.

Yeah ESPN hypes it up, but it is what it is.

I think the rivalry between UK and UofL is more vicious, though
