Frank has the eyes of an Ax Murderer. But he really is a good coach and pretty classy. He already had my respect before that press conference.
I like Martin. Anyone who doesn't try to sabotage Calipari on the recruiting trail with myths and lies (here's looking at you, Jerrence Howard) is a good guy in my eyes.
Thanks for the link Clive. I love how intense Martin is and I think he's a good coach. Some of his facial reactions are priceless. Not sure if he is looking to go off on someone or he's trying to push something out LMAO
He and Cal have been friends for some time. Not surprised at his positive remarks. Tough SOB but calls it like it is, either way.
When you look at the talent level he has, it's really amazing that he is looking at a four or five seed in the tourney. He's got one real talent, and that is a freshman that's learning the ropes. Everyone else on that team is a developmental type that gets by on hustle and grit. His players go hard and don't back down. 90% of the teams in the country would be lucky to have him.
He has always been fun to watch and is a good guy even though he looks and acts like a killer. A good coach, but think he was born to be a boxer or a hit man.
While he looks like a serial killer on the sidelines, I haven't seen him being a poor sport after a loss unlike Pitino, Crean, Knight and others
Martin is a damn good coach and as long as he's there, SC will get better and better. He's always been complimentary of UK and Calipari and although he looks crazy at times on the sidelines, seems to be a class act.
He's been reprimanded for using profanity and verbally abusing players.

Maybe you should listen closer? Cal called Alex a MF'er. Most coaches cuss, most players use the same words. Most soft azz kids today take it personal. They are just words. Sticks and stones......

THAT'S how a coach is supposed to act after the game is over. Gracious. I'm like a few of you, I've always talked well of Frank. I saw a show about him years ago when he was at K state that showed him at practice, during a game, and at home. He's intense at times but he's a good guy. Cal doesn't look as physically imposing as Frank, but he's just as intense.
One night I was watching basketball with all the lights out. South Carolina was on and Frank started screaming at one of his players and they showed his eyes...scared me so bad I got up and locked the door.
Martin was very classy and complimentary last season too, iirc. Cant believe he has THAT group of kids looking at a good seed. Pretty incredible job.
Exactly. I don't know who anybody is on that team, and I've no idea how they've gotten so many wins. Just from looking at that roster before the season I would've guessed they'd be near dead last in the SEC.
UK brought them crashing back to reality on Saturday, but still a really impressive over-achieving job they'd done this year.
I think frank martins true calling was to be a career military solider. Could you imagine being his or booby knights kid and stay out past curfew? Lol those eyes alone would put the fear of God in you.
