I hope we bitch slap Duke and steal Giles from them. That would be the most satisfying recruiting coup in Cal's tenure. I know its unlikely, but the Dukie meltdown would be legendary. Dukie V's reaction would be the best, his true colors would be on full display. I could see him proclaiming vehemently, "THIS PROVES WHAT WE ALL ALREADY KNEW, JOHN CALIPARI IS A CHEATER"
He may be a loudmouth and huge Duke homer but he's never ran Cal down. He did deride the platoon system but he's always defended Cal whenever I've heard him talk.
That was kind of my point. Giles to UK would put him over the edge. I'm pretty sure Giles is going to Duke though.
I'm sure the guys coming in would love to see cloggers and drake together. Bring back the cloggers!
Would rather beat them on the floor, or win the title to shut them up. But seems like many of us take solace in other things these days.
Maybe they all come in, hit it off and decide they really want to play together.

I want to beat them in every way I can. Recruiting, on the floor, more wins, more titles, more All-Americans, more draft picks. I want to be better than everyone else in every way.
Winning at recruiting and winning a title are not mutually exclusive, you can win at both. In fact, winning at recruiting gives you a better shot at winning a title.
You've had it explained it to you thirty different ways and yet you always fail to grasp the reasons why UK fans delight in recruiting. It directly affects success on the court, but please continue to play coy.

If your team didn't win it all, you have no right to be happy or excited about anything. Ever.
You can even tell how happy winning the championship makes a few of our posters. Renders them speechless. Temporarily.
If Cal gets 4-5 of those guys signed to play here, the hype will exceed what was around the beginning of the season in 2013-2014, and for good reason. These guys would be a lot better, and it's possible to return enough depth that you wouldn't need anyone else to sign. Fox and Monk would probably make the best backcourt Cal has had here, and if you happen to real in Giles, the frontcourt wouldn't be far off the best. Would have the makings of an historic season, as it would be the first time Cal actually had everything. Most years there is a weakness to Cal's teams, whether it be shooting, interior scoring, ball handling, or defense. However, that group would have the potential to have everything, and be dominant at it all.
