SIAP, couldn't help but chuckle at USCjr writers review of game.

yeah where are all those cock fans who were posting all week? Haven't seen a one of them stop by to congratulate us! :)

One thing they will never come to grips with is, we are just a better football team. I have watched both of their games as well as ours and felt we were better. Only way I thought we would lose the game is some crazy stuff happening in the game.

They will never admit that we were simply the better team, but can't blame them.m a lot of people on the SEC network have dismissed our team and lump it into some of our past teams that were really bad. As Marcus Spears says....UK is putting SEC athletes on the field on both sides of the ball. I hope other teams and the media continue to live in the past. It will be much more sweet as we blow by them

I like this from the comments on that article:

Sorry, but "really good teams" don’t have to sweat out wins over UL-Lafayette and an obviously mediocre Carolina squad. When they hit the meat of their schedule, K-Y will come crashing back down to Earth just like they did last season.

I guess USCjr was the lettuce.

UK has a chance for a great season and I am not talking about getting bowl eligible. The four teams most felt were the four best teams UK has to face haven't looked great so far. AU is undefeated, but had to come from behind to force overtime against a FCS team, Louisville is 0-2 and has looked very average at best, UT is 1-1 beaten by a ranked team in OT after giving up a 14 point lead with about 10 minutes to go, UGA is 2-0 but has some real issues at qb, stop the run and we won't be able to score. I can't speak for the other fanbases but the only one I can imagine not being down is UT, who has more than once snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory. UGA fans are hoping to see more of the backup qb, Chubb has rushed for more yards than we have passed for on about the same number of attempts, Thats hard to believe,

Like Auburn (and several others) didn't sweat at all this weekend. He also made an inaccurate statement about our 2nd half D, only our O had a hiccup.

BTW, Props to Grumpyolddawg for his analysis of Grantham . I remember UL fans berating him for saying the UGA fans were not sorry to see Grantham go. Looks like UL fans are coming to the realization the he isn't the great defensive coordinator that they were led to believe.

I agree we have an opportunity for a special season. A lot of football left to be played, but as I watch teams play and look ahead to how we match up, I don't see the huge gap that was there in years past. Now whether we can close the deal IDK. A lot of things have to go our way. Atleast we have the athletes to compete, and if things go our way we have a chance.

The only position UK is not on par with everyone else is both lines and LB. Of course I haven't seen the LB who have been out play so that might not apply when everyone is back.

Wow, it takes some big ones to denegrate the team that beat your team. Doesn't that only make your team suck more?

We have 3 out at LB I believe. Flannigan and Walker I don't know about yet because of their injuries but Hatcher will be on the field against Florida. Flannigan was looking pretty good at the end of last season and we need to see about Walker. But we are most playing underclassmen for the most part.

I'm salivating over the thought of having a sec lb corp and both lines at that level.

"There were plenty of guys flying around near the ball, but they'd have had better accuracy if Lorenzo Ward had elected to fire the secondary out of a trebuchet."

We gotta get this man writing for the good guys. He's hilarious.

Grantham was gone the day Vandy came from 14 down to beat us in Nashville and Richt was already looking for his replacement before the season was over, Pruitt was announced to quick, 2 days after Grantham left, to just start the search. Of course Louisville fans won't believe that, but the results they are getting should give them a hint.

we imploded last year because we only went 2 deep at about 7 positions on D last year. our starting lb'ers were a guy that was a converted wr and a juco who got to campus 2 weeks before the season started. we started 3 true freshmen at wr and our soph receivers consisted of 2 guys medically rs'ing, 1 that played injured and had 2 surgeries after the season, and our 2 seniors were decent... and blue could of been real good if he'd of rs'd his first year. we played a walk-on on the oline and had 3 rs freshmen playing a lot of snaps. no depth and athleticism in the secondary.

we hit the meat of our schedule right when our guys got tired and wore out. this year we are 3 deep at almost every spot but lb'er. now none of us are claiming to be a top 10 team but outside of ut and uga there aren't any top 25 teams in the east so we got just as good a shot as anyone else.

what those guys in comment section failed to realize is that we only lose 2 guys off this offense next year and they aren't the best players on the offense. we lose some upperclassmen on D next year but the talent upgrade of the younger guys should have us physically better even if we have less experience.

also, they seem to miss the fact that we were lucky to win in commonwealth last year and had to have some luck to pull that one out. scar had most of the luck in this years game and we still won. the sad fact for them is that this game shouldn't have been that close. they are using some very tinted glasses to look at that game. the one guy pointed out we had the better qb, wr's (cooper excluded), rb's, o-line, db's... but the rest just didn't see it. shoot, outside of moore i think our lb'ers played better than theirs and we were missing 2 starters!

Exactly. It wasnt a fluke. We just beat them. Not only that, we should have blown them out; and were only a few plays away from doing just that.
