Seth Greenberg toeing the company line on UNC***

Right on cue, this thread topic shows up on another board.
That seems to happen a lot.

McCants told "Outside the Lines" that he could have been academically ineligible to play during the championship season had he not been provided the assistance. Further, he said head basketball coach Roy Williams knew about the "paper class" system at UNC. The so-called paper classes didn't require students to go to class; rather, students were required to submit only one term paper to receive a grade.

McCants also told "Outside the Lines" that he even made the dean's list in the spring of 2005 despite not attending any of his four classes for which he received straight-A grades.

Nothing to see here folks!

I must have missed the press release from the COI stating that the basketball staff had been cleared of wrongdoing. Was Wayne Walden not a member of the staff when he was sending those emails to Debbie Crowder asking for special treatment for basketball players?

At one time Greenberg hated on Big Blue Nation because we wanted Smith gone. That's really all you need to know about him.

You sure about that? Greenberg was Va. Tech coach during that time. Doubt he said much about Tubby other than standard support for coaching colleague.

We've already seen that Greenberg slips up and says what he really thinks at times, but then when he is in front of the ESPN cameras, he spouts the company line. The only ones at that cesspool of a network that haven't stayed on the reservation are Bob Ley for Outside the Lines, and Bob Ryan recently on The Sports Reporters. Notice that both are LONG-time employees who are not afraid of losing their jobs apparently. Everyone else has parroted the same nonsense that Williams knew nothing and that basketball was cleared.

Just in case folks were not aware of the timeline:

Sankey's letter also details a new timetable of completion for the oft-delayed case. UNC must respond to the latest charges by May 16. The NCAA enforcement staff then has until July 17 for its own response. Sankey wrote that his panel will hear the case in August with "anticipated" dates of Aug. 16 and 17.

Rulings typically come weeks to months later, meaning the case could reach a long-awaited resolution by the end of 2017 — assuming there are no more of the delays and snags that have plagued the case so far.

He's already off to a good start, laying out the timeline of events. For years they have let UNCheat delay and delay with nobody really knowing what was going on or when stuff was supposed to be happening.

Just read the article. So, they've had years to prepare Crowder to "answer" the NCAA's questions, and now they are ready for her to be grilled. How convenient.
